Couldn't have picked a better location right on the harbor, I love how the quadruple room had a wall dividing the two king beds, with little balconies on each side. Lovely touch! Great bathroom, love that they had the toilet in a separate room with a sink. Bathtub very deep and nice. Very spa-like lobby.

The breakfast on the 9th floor is fabulous. There are plenty of options to satisfy all, from decadent to healthy options, from Asia to the west; I have never been more proud of being Taiwanese whenever I get to enjoy a hotel buffet in Taiwan; even more so when I get to watch the look of wonder in foreign guests' faces.

I recently celebrated my birthday weekend at H2O Hotel in Kaohsiung, and it was an experience I will cherish forever. From the moment we arrived, the hotel surpassed all expectations with its exceptional service and luxurious ambiance. The staff at H2O Hotel were nothing short of amazing. Despite only mentioning my birthday during the booking process, every staff member seemed to know and went out of their way to make the day special. Their warmth and attentiveness created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel truly valued. The highlight was a surprise birthday celebration, complete with a delicious cake and a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday,” making me feel like a VIP. The ambiance of H2O Hotel is both sophisticated and inviting. Every detail, from the elegant décor to the relaxing atmosphere, contributed to a sense of tranquility and luxury. The rooms were immaculate and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. The attention to detail in the room’s amenities was evident and added to the overall experience. The food at H2O Hotel was absolutely mouth-watering. Each meal was a delightful journey for our taste buds, showcasing a variety of exquisite dishes. The dining experience was elevated by the courteous staff and the beautiful dining spaces, making each meal a memorable event. The pool bar at H2O is an exceptional spot, embodying a sense of elegance and class. Although we received coupons for the pool bar, we found ourselves enjoying the ambiance so much that we didn’t even use them. The setting was perfect for a relaxing evening, with stunning views and a chic atmosphere. A testament to their outstanding service was when I realized, after arriving in Taipei, that I had accidentally left a favorite T-shirt in my room’s wardrobe. The hotel staff promptly called me and graciously offered to send it to Taipei. This gesture truly exemplified their commitment to guest satisfaction and their attention to detail.

A great place for a family vacation, to enjoy street art, some night market food tripping, and souvenir shopping. A short trip to Cijin Island was also great! Ride the green tram line all the way around, and use it to hop-on and hop-off to different places, including accessing some great malls for more shopping!

Love the city, the Tiger and Dragon Pagodas were simply stunning and the Pier 2 area beautiful. We felt the Fun pass was a waste if money; there was only was exhibition running at the Pier and the self-driving vehicle were out of order so we did not get our money's worth.

Kaohsiung is a city with so much to offer!

Kaohsiung is a city with so much to offer! There are many highly rated hotels with reasonable prices. The local government has done a great job to make Kaohsiung a pleasant place to visit. The MRT system is well run and the stations are beautifully designed and very clean. The light rail system is a pleasant way to get to know the city. We went to Cijin twice, a small island off the harbor. The ferry ride was easy and Cijin beach is clean and the rest room also very clean. So many places to have delicious food, drink, and shaved ice. Kaohsiung is a must for anyone who visit Taiwan. You will not regret it.

I love this city. there is plenty to do here, you would never get bored, and with the great public transport making it very easy to get around the city then there are no excuses for not seeing it all, or at least as much as possible in the time you have here. The museums and libraries are fantastic. a lot of thought has gone into their design and usage making them fascinating places to visit and to learn about Kaohsiung. You can also get to the beach or the mountains easily enough from here so its a good place to jump off and visit other areas nearby. It has its own fascinating charm that is different from other cities in Taiwan like Tainan or Taichung and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Taiwan.

Kaohsiung is such an underrated city - usually people spend more time in Taipei, but we ended up staying here for just under two weeks and absolutely loved how family-friendly it is. Our favorite parts of the trip were exploring the Pier 2 Art Precinct, visiting the National Fine Arts Museum of Kaohsiung, and checking out the beautiful pagodas. Getting around was really easy, especially using the light rail, and traveling back and forth to Taipei via Kaohsiung train station was very convenient. Direct high speed train available which is great! It’s a city I’d highly recommend visiting, with great art galleries, cozy coffee shops, and a welcoming atmosphere for families.

The hotel's location is good, but unfortunately we experienced serious itchiness due to mites. The management offered a reimbursement for our remining time and no commercial gesture. We clearly understood that the problem was knowned, but nothing was done to address it. It's a pity and does not paint an accurate picture of other hotels in Taiwan or Kaohsiung where most hosts are very considerate and thrive to offer the best service, but it wasn't the case here unfortonately. Avoid this hotel!

1. Waking distance to the Formosa Boulevard station. There is a lift at Exit No. 1 from underground Station to the road level, so if you travel with heavy luggage, there is no problem. Exit No. 2 has escalators only. 2. Only 80m from the hotel to Liuhe night street foods with plenty variety foods. 3. Plenty restaurants in surrounding area. 4. Subway RED RAIL LINE from Formosa Boulevard station to Kaohsiung International Airport under 30 minutes.
