Located on Dawan seashore, Chateau Beach Resort Kenting is a lovely retreat where you can expect sandy beach with seashells, glorious sunshine and blue sea. Situated right on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach very close to the entrance to Kenting National Park. Most rooms have a gorgeous view of either the mountains or the ocean. We stayed in a Mountain View for two days, then an ocean front room for the rest of our vacation. The spa and pools were amazing.

Only a 3-minute walk from the bustling Kenting Main Street, Kenting My Home offers private guest rooms and dormitory rooms in Kenting. The silent Dawan Beach can be reached in 3 minutes on foot. Second time staying there and still an excellent place to stay. On a non-holiday night it is one of the best value for money places to stay in the area, especially for solo travellers and groups. The staff are super friendly and accommodating and one of them played games with us, which was really nice and fun.

This hotel with nicely furnished rooms is actually quite nicely situated with a view to the back of Kenting National Park and to the front of the sea. Beautiful bathing bay over quiet way ereichbar. Unfortunately, that is all the positive that can be said about the hotel. The staff is more concerned about their own work processes than the guest. This hotel never deserves five stars, more like 3 -4. The buffet dinner was mediocre but expensive, the breakfast also not bersodners. In the evening in the lobby and in the cafe no more life, because everything also makes early to. Have experienced few so soulless hotels.

Nice beaches and a big night market.
Nice beaches and a big night market. It is the 3rd time I am visiting the area and everytime I like it even more. During long holidays it is pretty busy but if you are willing to walk and not use the car the location is perfect.

Really nice place for recreation.
Really nice place for recreation. Weather never gets cold (summers are too hot, as I heard). I was traveling in winter and the weather was perfect for hiking and sightseeing. A little cold as for my taste for swimming, but I saw other people going to beach. Aquarium is mind blowing. Nature is beautiful. Really recommend to go hiking at Forest Recreation Area. Watch sunset at Longpan park.

We only stayed for 2 nights at the Chateau Beach resort, which was a little short, would be good if it had been 3 or 4 nights. Getting to & fro to the resort was no problem as we pre-booked the resort bus shuttle. On the 2nd day, we booked a private hire taxi for 4 hours through the resort to bring us round Kenting. Was amazed that we were able to cover quite a number of places of interest during the 4 hours, which include bringing us to take a glass submarine to look at coral reef (we had the entire submarine to our family of 4 as there were no other travelers). He also took us to eat seafood lunch (lots of sashimi) at reasonable price. Kenting is a great place to relax and explore. Love the beach and it beautiful sea views!

Beautiful beaches, some nice for swimming, some just pretty to look at. National park is wonderful for nature walks, the aquarium is large and the fish/sea life there are in great shape. The little town is not attractive but has some decent restaurants and a long stretch of food stalls like a night market. Very enjoyable place as long as the weather is good.

The water is clear and nice but there is actually very little to do in Kenting. There were few restaurants, mostly beaches you were not allowed to go swimming at, and everything was a little run down (like in the 90s). Prices were high for what was offered (e.g., a scooter cost 18€ per day; our hotel kost 55€ per night for a 8sqm room) - if you have been to nice beaches in other Asian countries (Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines), I wouldn't bother going to Kenting just for the beach experience! The night market was okay but nothing compared to those in Taipei.

They helped us to rent the scooters in a stand in front of the hotel that had a super nice host (he changed our batteries at night so we don’t have to struggle with low battery the next day). The hotel also gave us beach towels and they have free water bottles for their guests that you can take anytime.

The general noises of the night market at peak time can't be heard. (Unless it's 3 am and there's a group of people drinking and shouting in front of the hotel, which happened during our first night).
