This extraordinary homestay is located close to the main plaza of the village and the museum, with parking available on the plaza. The design is extraordinary, a mixture of tribal and religious Catholic items, a spacious well designed room, a table in the enthralling hall to take breakfast and dinner, access to a fridge, a roof terrace with wonderful views. The most wonderful experience was the very friendly lady of the family who prepared us a tasty, varied dinner of indigenous food and took us the next morning, to the unique Catholic church a few km down the road. The village is very welcoming as well and we were invited to the museum on the first day of an exhibition on the traditional songs of the Rukai people.We appreciate te efforts to maintain their traditional culture and language. It was a true highlight on our travel in Taiwan.

It is simply exquisite. Situated in a bucolic environment with views to the ranges, the property is modern, stylish, elegant and lacks in absolutely nothing. Our host was very adept at using Google Translate to explain the ins and outs, kitchen details and other information, such as the free bikes, where to park our car etc. We felt very much at ease here and loved returning from our outings all hot and exhausted and be back in this lovely, welcoming place.

The location was a wonderful traditional farm house beautifully restored by someone who has great aesthetic taste. Breakfast not only tasted delicious but looked beautiful too. We particularly loved the fact there was no plastic to be seen, only traditional materials. Very friendly English speaking host who recommended a delicious local Hakka restaurant.
