It's true. The owners Pia and Hasim were so warm and caring. They have a dream to create this wonderful place where people can feel relaxed and welcome. The boat trip was fun, we felt taken care of throughout our stay. I've used booking com for more than a decade, would have gone to another part of Zanzibar (north) but saw the crazy good reviews here and had to come visit. Thank you!

The breakfsast and the meals in general were very good.
The rooms were quite nice.
After we came back from our rides the rooms were always cleaned and tidied up with fresh towels and fresh bottles of water.
I was overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff there, specially the manager Aliya. She was always asking if everything was ok, if we needed something, etc. She helped us to organize all the tours (with very good suggestions and providing the driver).
On our last day, our flight from Zanzibar to Dubai was cancelled due to poor weather conditions in Dubai. So, again, Aliya suggested and helped us to book a flight from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam and from there we were able to catch a plane to Dubai the next day.

Breakfast was great, continental, with boiled eggs and ham, fruit and pastry selection - English breakfast/eggs of your choice available per request. Lovely staff and nice view of the beach from the restaurant. Place with a cool vibe. Rooms were okay but could use A/C.

A stay too short, far too short. We went to the Orient for just one night and what we received here surprised us greatly. Great rooms, great service. Private pools, excellent restaurant. Location right on the ocean. Hussain the manager - very helpful. Very ! We will return here for sure. Unfortunately they don't have room for us now but we will be back in a few days. For those who book here, I would recommend a minimum of 2-3 nights. Do it right away ! Best of the best ! We back soon !

We stayed at Mustapha’s Place for nine nights with our 1 and 4 year old. The staff were incredible and so friendly. The pool and playground were so fun for our little ones. The food is really great and priced at a good value. I highly recommend this place for families looking to get off the beaten track and want a truly Zanzibar holiday. We will definitely come back!

A fabulous little hotel just back from the beach with a lovely restaurant with ocean views. The swimming pool was perfect or it was a short walk to the beach for a dip. There is a also a bar on the beach for drinks and this part of the island has huge sweeping beaches that were so quite and tranquil - perfect for a morning stroll. It felt very safe and the staff were all wonderful, esecially Aliya who helped out with suggestions, restaurant bookings and taxis.

A quiet part of the east coast but very easy to grab a taxi and head into Paje for drinks and dancing. It was very chilled out and felt very safe so lovely to be able to take long evening walks along the beach.

Bwejuu is set on a beautiful beach north of Paje.
Bwejuu is set on a beautiful beach north of Paje. There’s a lot to do in the area (caves, forests , spice farms, Rock restaurant) and lots of bars and restaurants however you’ll need transportation to access them.
We travelled around the entire island in an hire car which I would highly recommend, was great fun and easy to find our way around. I would say this area is more dirty and littered which is a shame as the rest of the country is really well kept.

We were a family of 10 people.
We were a family of 10 people. I did not expect to walk in sand all over the place. The foliage kept it a little cooler. The pool was fine and clean. I did not expect no air conditioning and trying to stay cool with a standing room fan.
Food was Ok - nothing special. The drive from the airport after dark was dangerous. The walk to the beach was short. A few restaurants were open down the beach.
We moved to another resort just down the street after one night and had clean rooms, air conditioning, on the beach, great meals. We kept our keys because they said we could not get a refund for the 2nd and 3rd nights we had reserved. They said we could come back and use the pool but did rent out our rooms from the 2nd & 3rd nights.
It was more like a hostel but was not advertised well on Booking.com

Bwejuu is a small village with two shops where you can buy groceries and cosmetics. There is public transport there. In the vicinity is bigger village of Paje where there are more restaurants and shops.
The beach is absolutely beautiful - white sand, wide a very long (excellent for walks and looking for shells), few people there.
The best restaurants are Shanti café and Sahari.
You can hire kite board there and teacher for kite boarding.
8 km from Bwejuu is beautiful place where you can watch sunset and enjoy big bar with excellent drinks and good music for dancing.

Bwejuu has a great beach.
Bwejuu has a great beach. It is relatively quiet with only a few people working the beach to sell tours etc. We met some friendly locals and joined in some birthday celebrations, which was fun.
Best be aware that there is a big tide so you can’t swim all the time. When the tide is in, the water is shallow and very warm.
In the evenings there is a warm breeze that is refreshing and keeps the mosquitoes away.
The location was amazing, right on the beach in the village of Bwejuu. I don’t think there’s anywhere else where you stay so close to /on the beach!!! Relaxed vibes, hammocks and swings, great cocktails brought to the beautiful balcony or on the beach. The owners were so friendly and helpful, looking after all our needs! They organised transfers for us as well, getting us good prices when needed too - that’s super helpful here. The balcony was huge and amazing for views of the beach.
Sahari is a beautiful small hotel on the stunning beach of Bwejuu. It is set back from the beach, and everything is natural and simple. The hotel is centred around a lovely small pool (not for swimming but a great place to relax) and has very clean and nice sized rooms and a beautiful restaurant. The beach is exquisite, although the extreme tides means it is only possible to swim at certain times of the day. Breakfast was great and the staff were all exceptionally warm and helpful.
Location, location, location. The hotel is on the most beautiful beach. just a perfect distance from the busy Paje beach and village. The staff were amazing and attentive. Our suite was big and comfortable. They are also very mindful of the guests and ensure the constant flow of hawkers do not harass the guests as there are many. We will be back for what felt like the perfect tropical island getaway.
Tropicana Boutique Hotel is a charming and cozy spot in Zanzibar. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with lovely local touches. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. It’s a peaceful place to unwind, with easy access to the island’s attractions. Highly recommend for a relaxing and authentic experience!
Very kind hosts and staff who made us feel at home.
Small scale hotel with only a few rooms.
Great cuisine from the French/Italian owner duo.
Amazing and quiet location right on the beach in Bwejuu and only a short walk from busy Paje.
