Breakfast was lovely, there was an option of sweet or salty. The resort was absolutely stunning, old fruit trees all around that house bushbabies in the evening. A lovely old pup that spent the afternoon with us. There is a private beach about a minute's walk away through a mangrove path. We spent the one morning walking to the Sultan's Palace by Mangrove Lodge & it was definitely worth it. Also paid a visit to the Coral Cave, Vanilla Spice Farm & Slave Chambers in Mangapwani, all awesome outings.

The property is so pretty- the gardens are beautiful and it’s a quick walk to the beach. Although TianDe isn’t directly on the beach, Mariola (the owner) has a friendly relationship with a neighboring hotel that is first row, so guests can spend time there during the day. The bar and restaurant area are lovely and the food is yummy and fresh- we tried breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool is sparkling, and the staff is warm and hard-working. Our room was clean and comfortable, with A/C, tea/coffee, good shower, nice decor. Mariola and her boyfriend live on site- they are doing a fantastic job running TianDe with a lot of hard work and love. We wish them success and will recommend to TianDe to anyone traveling to Zanzibar.
