Very nice laid back little hotel near the famous Kae Beach (just a short walk to Kae) - the rooms are big and clean, there is a swimming pool and a restaurant where you can have breakfast or eat a la carte. All the girls working at the hotel are lovely, and will help you with anything you need - I would like to especially thank Sara for making my holidays so much better.

Food was amazing. Owners are amazing. Room, linnen, bathroom was super beautiful. I only stayed one night out of the 3 I booked due to the closest beach being more couple/family friendly and i'm a solo traveler. The property absolutely exported me into a different world. Absolutely beautiful.

Afriican Village is a nature retreat. The perfect place for a relaxing getaway. The booking was done with ease. Nai, kept in touch with me throughout the booking process, answering any questions or concerns I had. She was patient, kind, and courteous in her responses. Anytime I had a concern she was available to answer my questions promptly. The taxi arranged by the property, arrived at the airport as expected and was on time. It dropped me safely and securely, right at the doorstep. Arriving at the property, I was a bit concerned about the business idea of conserving and maintaining the natural biodiversity of the land, but once I got settled, my appreciation for this concept grew each day. The pictures mirror reality, except in real life, the room was instantly welcoming. My room was cozy, elegantly simple, clean, and spacious. The custom-made coconut wooden bed is comfortable and relaxing. The mosquito net is extra large and roomy, leaving enough room to fit on a small table for work; away from buzzing mosquitoes. The room has an airy and luxurious feel as it is not cluttered with a lot of furniture. White clean soft bedsheets, tastefully decorated, combined with off-white soft linen drapes, white paint, and a matching mosquito net made the room even more spacious. Ladies! as a woman, you know how important the bathroom is to us. The bathroom is large, clean, and bright. It has a sky view that lets the sunshine in while you shower. Brand-new toilet seat and shower. The water pressure is great. The fountain shower was warm and relaxing. In the late mornings and afternoons, Zanzibar gets very hot, especially at the beach, as you will not find shade away from the hot sun. So after my walks at the beach, I kept coming back to The Village (Afriican Village that is) to shower and cool off under a huge private makuti shade right in front of my room. Plus, there is a constant cool breeze flowing through. The atmosphere is laid back, quiet, and relaxing.

Very nice and friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Close to one of the most beautiful beaches in Zanzibar. Great bathroom, you can take shower and admire the stars at the same time.

Everything. Beautifully made and run. Food is fantastic. Petra & Tomas are such amazing & friendly people. Their labour of love is the perfect place to unwind and have fun. Music, dance floor, darts, pool and a pool. The family bungalow with two rooms was perfect for our family of 3. Thank you Petra and Tomas for the wonderful stay.
