We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The service was exceptional, and every member of the staff was friendly, welcoming, always smiling, and incredibly polite. They made us feel completely comfortable throughout our stay. The entire resort was spotless and beautifully maintained. We loved the pool and the pool bar, and we ended up enjoying every part of the resort. The restaurant served delicious food, also the breakfast that was included. The beachfront location is perfect and made it very easy for us to walk along the beach to other places we wanted to visit. Our room was immaculate, beautifully organized, and smelled wonderful. We had a balcony overlooking the beach, and waking up to that view every day was unforgettable.

Talk about 5 star service on a budget. I got there to a specially curated, handwritten note welcoming me. The place is elegant, easy to access, modern, safe with fully functional utilities and close attention to detail.

The hotel is small but has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are sincere and make you feel like a guest rather than a customer. We tried the massage service and were very happy with it. Great value for money and We didn’t need to research tours separately in Zanzibar. The island tour we booked through the hotel went smoothly. Timing and transportation were very well organized.

The location is perfect. Right on the beach. The staff was amazing. Great customer service.

The hotel is located next to the beach with ocean view. Breakfasts are very delicious and fresh. In the restaurant there os an option to eat and drink something with ocean view too. Staff cleans rooms twice every day. There are local cosmetics available in the bathroom and still water. Each guest receives beach towels. The staff is very helpful. I recommend this palce in 1000% :)

Great value for the price. Close to the beach, personnel were great, rooms clean, beds comfortable, AC and wi-fi were working fine, breakfast was delicious. All was great!

The service at Lujo Hotel was truly exceptional. Despite some electricity interruptions during our stay, the staff — and especially the management — went above and beyond in the most heartfelt way. They were present, caring, and incredibly generous in how they handled everything. We felt genuinely looked after, and their professionalism and kindness turned a challenge into a positive memory. This is hospitality at its best.

The staff is super frendly and helpfull, the room is very confortable, there is a nice pool that I didn't use just because the sea was right there as well. Having breakfast or lunch looking at the sea was amazing, it was also walking distance of all kiosks and restaurants by the beach. The hotel was full booked but it felt confortable and cozy anyway.

Everything was amazing: the big and comfortable room, the two super relaxing pools, the location at a beautiful beach, the super nice staff and the superb food!

This is already my third time staying at Maisha Matamu Boutique, and every single visit has been better than the last. The hotel keeps improving its facilities and atmosphere, and this time I was honestly positively overwhelmed. Everyone at the hotel is incredibly friendly and makes you feel completely relaxed and welcome, giving you the perfect holiday feeling from the moment you arrive. Even though there are several restaurants nearby, the best food was definitely at Maisha Matamu. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and prepared with great care. The bar service was also excellent — you are always well taken care of. Another huge highlight is the location: the hotel is directly on the beach, which makes the whole experience even more special. I can highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again.

Excellent vacation , great service better than many 5* resorts , great vibe and music . Food was good and location perfect. The parties were fabulous with excellent DJ’s . New Year’s Eve party was great . The kite surfing on site is perfect . Well done . I highly recommend.

One of the best experiences we've ever had. The most amazing staff was ready to make our trip impeccable. Excellent communication, personal touch, without being intrusive. Great rooms, stylishly decorated, clean and warm pool. Breakfast is good, as well as lunch and dinner. The hotel is secluded from Paje village, but you can easily access local markets and cafes in a 10-15 minute walk on the beach. It is perfect for a quiet trip and a simultaneous dive into local Zanzibar culture. The staff of the hotel also rented us e-scooters to explore nearby villages. Honestly, cannot recommend this place enough! Thanks to everyone from the hotel for making this trip so memorable. We-ll be back, definitely.

The infinity pool was absolutely amazing — a stunning ocean-front infinity pool with breathtaking views over the sea, perfect for relaxing all day with comfortable sunbeds and a beautiful chill vibe. The location was perfect — peaceful, right on the beach, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The WiFi was by far the best we had in Zanzibar — super fast and reliable everywhere. The staff were friendly and made our stay very enjoyable.

staff was friendly, breakfast great and environment very nice. it was safe, great location, despite outside its Afrika so hotel realy nice, room big and they had almost no problem with electricity. Everyone was very helpfull

Great staff and very good price/quality food! Lovely place, very chill and friendly atmosphere. Super close to the beach and lovely rooms with a good bed and plenty of space. Martin and the rest of the staff are super positive and happy to help with anything needed. From recommending a great kite school (Hakuna Matata, very good prices!!) to helping get stains out of a dress, they always offer great help. 10/10!! Asante sana & Muito obrigado!
