Offering a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi, Danylo Inn is located in the center of Lviv, 984 feet from Ploshcha Rynok. The rooms include a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV and coffee/tea...

Lviv is always beautiful and it was also particularly beautiful in spring. Loads of tulips and green parks added options for nice walks. As always coffee is great everywhere and more cafes opened up.
The first thing people ask when we discuss our trip to Lviv, Ukraine in April 2023 is about the war. Americans especially see only pictures of the war in the East of Ukraine and imagine that the whole country looks like Bakmut. But this is completely false. The western portion of Ukraine, like the Lviv Oblast has more than 2.8 million residents and no combat. The war impacts people deeply because many young persons join the army and go East and die in the war. But it is perfectly safe in 2023 for Americans and others to visit and even vacation in Lviv. Before the pandemic, Lviv had about 3 million foreign visitors a year, but because people are afraid of the war, there are much fewer today. We spent 6 days in Lviv Oblast and ate delicious food, stayed in beautiful hotels and enjoyed a wonderful and safe time in April 2023. We are already planning our December 2023 Lviv trip to enjoy the magic of Christmas in Ukraine. Clearly, I would never consider traveling in the East of Ukraine during the war, for one you would be in danger and you would also just be in the way of those who are bravely trying to defend their country. But remember that the danger of violence and combat is very localized in the East and that now is a perfect time to visit Lviv. We flew to Warsaw, Poland and took the train to Przemysl where we spent one night. The next morning we took the short train ride from Przemysl to Lviv. You can buy your train tickets ahead online and the trains are clean and fast. Public transport in Lviv Oblast is good, but we chose to rent a car from Budget rent a car in Lviv for the added flexibility. We had a few days of "business" we were interested in completing while in Lviv, visiting mental health providers to initiate some projects together, but aside from our work we just enjoyed the culture and beauty of Lviv. Don't wait for the war to end to discover this European treasure of a city.
Being from Odesa, it is very difficult to admit that L'viv has an upper hand. Its night life, its restaurants, its bars, architecture, - all that is awesome. It is outstanding place to be even at war! It has a natural feeling of a living entity, it is a perfect place to wander around. And whatever number of days You should schedule You will have the feeling by the end of stay, that You need more.
Lviv or Lwow as it was known in Polish from 1795 until 1920 (also known as Lemberg in Austro-Hungary Galician times, is the nicest and cozyist city in all of Ukraine. It has great connections to Poland and Hungary by train which are clean and comfortable. Best time to see is from Orthodox and Roman/Greek Catholic Easter until mid June. Lively and cheerful with countless coffee houses, restaurants historic churches, and ringed to the north by woods and hills. Despite the conflict to the East it is very safe and well worth a minimum 2 to 3 day visit.
Amazing city with a European feel. In the old town part, you don't feel like you ever left Europe, unless it comes to prices. You can pay half (or less) of your west-European bill and get imo even higher quality (both of food and service). The city is full of old churches and cathedrals, both Roman and Greek Catholic. Almost feels like Rome in that regard. I'd also recommend learning a bit about the history of the region and the city before you visit just so that everything makes more sense to you, the architecture, the culture, the food. Vibrant and young city
Lviv, Ukraine is a great travel destination in 2023. There is no risk of danger from the war at this time, but a prudent traveler should always keep up with local conditions before and during travel. The museums and spots of interest are all open and there are very few crowds. We stayed several days in Lviv and then a few days in Skidnitsa. We had a rental car from Budget and had no problems. Driving was great and similar to driving in the US. The TV news may make it look like the war causes danger in the west of Ukraine, but this is inaccurate. There is extreme danger to any travel in the east due to the war, but minimal inconvenience and no real danger while in Lviv Oblast. To get to Lviv in April 2023, we flew to Warsaw and took the train to Prezmesyl where we slept the night and then took the morning train to Lviv. Trains are cheap, fast, and safe. We had a wonderful time and will go back to Ukraine for travel later in the year.
I can highly recommend this hotel. I’ve visited almost 40 countries and have stayed in 5 stars hotels quite often and I can say this this hotel is better than many 5 stars hotels I’ve visited. I’m going definitely to stay exactly at the same hotel when i’m in Lviv. The room number was absolutely big, with everything needed, service is great and personal is educated and with a good upbringing, breakfast is amazing, location is quiet, in the center of the city. I felt myself like at home and even better.
Lviv
Great location, just in the heart of Lviv, at the same time you don’t hear the noise from the street, it’s really quiet. The building is very old, it’s protected by the law as a historical legacy, at the same time the hotel is well equipped and maintained. The room is relatively small, but again well equipped, smart organized. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi, heating, kitchenette, kettle, kitchenware, glasses, cups, tea, good breakfast included. We were pleased to stay there.
Well, if you need unexpectingly cozy, clean, modern, quiet, awesome hotel in the very heart of Lviv, then this is your spot! People here are so friendly, just like you've met an old pal. Room design is like my fav Scandic Rubinen in Gothenburg, but make it Ukrainian vibe. Breakfasts are so-so yummy and coffee is gooooooood. The bed is comfy and everything is so well-thought. And the price of this treasure is a total bargain! Definitely recommend and will be returing here again.
I’ve been traveling to Ukraine for 15 years and I am used to a European hotel experience. This is quite simply the best hotel I have stayed at in Ukraine. The rooms are large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The service was simply superb and that was completely down to Lesya on reception who couldn’t do enough for us. Every time I visit Lviv I will stay here. P.S. and like everyone says the breakfast is 4 courses 😀 and very tasty
Absolutely lovely hotel! the bed was fantastic, They have a pillow menu too! I can’t say enough about the the staff, they went above and beyond, they helped with train tickets and made everything so easy. 5 stars. I’ve not seen this level of service since my last visit to a Ritz Carlton. Well done to the front desk staff, thank to the lovely housekeepers. I hope the hotel manager gives my regards and thanks. I like the location, I could visit a perfect dentist clinic around, visit our business center, visit many amazing restaurants, etc. Breakfast was good, nothing special, but really good. It is international hotel with 24h desk. I had a late flight at 1am, so checked in without any problems. What I really like, it is not cheap hostel, it is true international hotel with premium service and clean rooms.
This is probably the ONLY staff that will bring your things to your car in a "dirty laundry" bag after you checked out and on your tour while the car is still parked at the hotel. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Also - apart from this - since it's not the first time in the Swiss hotel - I love everything about it - location, interior, mood, style, vibe - nowhere else it can be as good as here.
Property absolutely met my expectations. I needed something simple, good location and value for money. And I got it. Room was very neat, it looked exactly as it looked on the photos, bathroom is rather basic but has everything I need. Also property had electricity all the time I stayed, which is rather important and rare nowadays in Ukraine. Also breakfast is very good with a tasty coffee.
Lviv
Room was exactly same how was show in photo. Beds were clean and staff was very helpful. The price is also good according to the location. During current war in ukraine situation all facility were provided. If you are looking to spend your weekend this is the good hostel and there are many good tourist attractions in walking distance only. Overall i will say i had good experience !!
Morden Hotel, I describe it as more than wonderful! We were there for three nights and we had no complaints about the hotel, everything was great! Cleanliness, smell, quietness, close to the center, air conditioning, spacious and comfortable rooms, in short, everything is more than wonderful! and If it happens again and we would like I go to Lviv, I will book the same hotel.
Olga at Front Desk Reception was very professional, helpful and spoke very good in English, which was a bit surprising for me to see in Western Ukraine. The hotel, really is located in the center of Lviv. A lot of foreigners. Good breakfast. Very good parking. Good price/quality.
Location: PERFECT (heart of old town but not noisy as some reviews quote). Hotel: DELIGHTFUL (stylish, very clean, spacious rooms yet cosy, comfy beds, great facilities, lovely staff, free luggage storage on pre-check in and post check out). 5 STARS👍🏻
Thank you to the staff of the hotel for putting me up when I evacuated to Lviv from Irpen and also for letting somebody else use my room when they were evacuating children to Poland. I will stay again just for this attention and help!
Comfortable and stylish room, high class professional staff, pleasant experience, so I will choose this hotel again when I am in Lviv.
I left my e-bike 2 weeks to the Hostel Team while I made a trip all around Ukraine by train. Thanks to the Pop Art Hôtel Team.
My favorite hotel in Lviv. Been there 10 times . Perfect location
