Albert Lea does not have a Starbucks.

Albert Lea does not have a Starbucks. I drove from Tucson, Arizona and had Starbucks everyday until I arrived in Albert Lea. I'm in Ames now and first place I went was Starbucks. Albert Lea is a cute little town and that was nice. Pretty countryside and I love farm country. I ate at Green Mill. Great service and food. Plugs in room did not work and only one light work.

Plugs in room did not work and only one light work. They will knock on your door every hour before checking out to remind you of your check out and make sure to vacuum outside your room to try and kick you out right at check out. Worst hotel experience!

I have stayed in Quality Inn and Suites MANY times in the past and have NEVER had such a negative experience as we did at the Albert Lea location. It's likely poorly managed and very poorly kept up.

Farming community.

Farming community. People we talked to were very nice and polite. Walking distance to restaurants and a mini mall. Town access is easy and just a short drive up the main road. I would stay there again and plan to do so on my return trip home.

What a great little city, we went to a celebration of life...

What a great little city, we went to a celebration of life at the Cottage in Edgewater Park and it was great, I wish we could have spent more time there to check out more but it was just a weekend thing. We will definitely be back to this area for a longer stay. Edgewater Park is beautiful as was Fountain Lake and the walking paths were long, cant wait to come back!
