What a beautiful place! Located in a quiet area of Arcata in the midst of Redwood trees. The apartment is super cozy with lots of details to make you feel at home. Everything is clean, the kitchenette well-equipped and the bed super comfy! There is a trailhead only 6 min away by foot: I can recommend the Arcata Ridge Trail. The communication with the host Andrea was really smooth. She answers quickly, is super nice and gave me a lot of great recommendations! All in all my absolute favorite accommodation during my 11 days roadtrip on Highway 101 :)!

We felt at home right from the start and really enjoyed our time here! The choice of furnishing is great and there is almost nothing missing. There are plenty of cool things to do in the hole area, the hosts even created a awesome little book with activities and hikes.

Majority of the people were very nice.

Majority of the people were very nice. I had a great time at the festival. It's somewhat of a small town country atmosphere, simple and not overcrowded. Loved that and the view...the giant redwoods...magnificent. I'm not a beer drinker, don't really like the taste but one of the vendors gave me a glass of beer for free. Don't remember what kind it was...It was good!

Good price. It was clean and comfortable. Some of the appliances in the room needed some work. The exhaust fan, TV, ect did not work correctly, but it wasn't a deal breaker. We would stay here again.

Arcata has something for everyone, no matter one's age.

Arcata has something for everyone, no matter one's age. It's close to the shore, has many local events, live music, a very casual vibe, and the residents care about the environment. I travel up frequently, and I tried some new shops, food, and cafes on this trip. Although my trip was leisurely, I was up for a job interview. Fingers crossed.

People with open contauners in parking lot cooking and standing next to my vehicle like they own it. tv went out for no reason, key card kept locking us out making us go back to the front deask all the time. I do believe this was intenially done by management.

Restaurants were all over with food for every palate. The Redwoods are close. Elk viewing was close. Beaches were great, can’t blame the City for the cool weather. Camping and hiking opportunities were plentiful. We didn’t fish, but talked to several fishermen who came back with nice catches and or photos.
