The location is perfect, close to Elephant rocks Golf Course, Grand Canyon, and Cateract Lake. The staff was friendly, but once we got to our room the lighting did not work, the sheets looked questionable, and the sanitary facilities were not satisfying. We arrived very late en left very early, but did not want to showr there. It is okay for a quick pass-through, but that is it.
It is an old motel, but clean. I was pleasantly surprised how clean it was. I needed a clean room , a hot shower with good pressure, free parking, and i wanted to pay minimum since just needed to refresh after a long drive to continue my trip. I got all of that. Especially was impressed with the shower, pressure was so good. Whoever runs this facility - are doing a good job. If you are looking for a great view - skip this place. If you just need a clean place to sleep/shower and don’t feel like paying $100, go for it!
The town looked nice but I recommend that Booking.com remove this motel from their website. Travelers do yourself a favor and keep driving to the next town no matter how tired you are!!! This motel was so bad that we didn't stay. Unfriendly staff, it looked unsafe, and the element in the rear of the property were window shopping before we even parked. And there was no place to safely park. I didn't even ask for a refund. Just dropped off the key and drove to Williams.
Never again they claim would do a refund but we were told our card was declined. So had to pay cash funny thing is we went to the gas station down the road right after we booked and got gas and cigs And ice cause they have no ice machine and the card worked just fine.
The motel is clean, quiet and off the beaten path. The manager was very helpful and courteous. Ash Fork is very small, we weren't interested in sightseeing, we just wanted a quiet place to get a good night's sleep.
Ash Fork is a very small town. go to the Ranch house for breakfast. you'll find all the locals in there & they were all friendly and talkative. also you can't get lost come in off the 40. if you come in from the east all 3 of the eateries are there & the Ash Fork inn is at the other end of town.
