Again location was great, but need to wrk on renovation of the hotel itself which needs it. Yes the upgrade to water park was mended to bring in more income. But rooms need to be upgraded. Room did not have a safe. Plz upgrade rooms & hotel. Went to the seafood feast cook needs to be replaced immediately. Can not rate because the 3 choices does not fit into any category

It was early November and Fall but the weather was beautiful and sunny. Access form the hotel was great, being right on the boardwalk and tram cars were available. The only issue was valet parking service ended Monday and we would've wished to continue throughout our stay up to Tuesday.

Since we love gambling it's a good fit for us.

Since we love gambling it's a good fit for us. However the city itself is not very nice and you wouldn't want to walk the streets at night. The Casinos want you to stay in their property to gamble and do nothing to help improve the city as first promised when the Casinos first opened in 1978!

Not like it used to be.

Not like it used to be. The best part of this area is the Hard Rock hotel and Casino. We didn't even stay there but walked to check it out. For the 1-2hours there. That was the most safe and fun. Live band and definitely pleasant. If we come back, we're staying there.

I've frequented A.C. over the years being a Philly native.

I've frequented A.C. over the years being a Philly native. This was my first time staying in a hotel directly on the boardwalk and it was an okay experience. We stayed at the Showboat Hotel & Casino because they built a new water park that was supposed to be all the rage. It also offered go-carts, bowling, roller skating, but each activity was a separate cost. The cost for the water park was $90 person, my son and his friend said it wasn't worth it. Turns out the best part of the trip was being able walk out of the hotel cross the boardwalk and be on the beach. Because the Showboat is so far down the boardwalk from the other Casinos and stores, the beach wasn't too crowded. I much preferred being on the beach in the morning before anyone came out, but that's just me. Atlantic City is probably great for families with little ones or maybe if you don't get to the beach often, but for myself, my 14 -year-old son and his friend it was lacking. We said next summer we'll go to Wildwood.

Valet and other staff members were helpful and friendly.

Valet and other staff members were helpful and friendly. Had no idea how to get to the beach from our room. Had a difficult time figuring out where to park. Oceanfront room overlooked the HVAC system. Atlantic City is a dirty scary place. Go there for gambling., not for a vacation. It took over one-half hour for a bellboy to cone to the room to get our bags.
