Nothing! You only had 1 elevator working and staff when we checked in were rude! I was told then you were placing a hold for $150 who does that. Most hotels do maybe $50 hold! We were placed on 5th floor had ton of luggage between 4 of us and doing the stairs was hard

I booked a room through booking.com. and decided to pay at the property, however the. Hotel decided to take money out of my account, thankful that I used a card set up for such tricky and they were unable to obtain my money. What's the use of giving the option of paying at the property when they are going to take your money out of your account regardless? Additional when they were unable to get my money they sent me an text message saying to contact the property which I did. At this time I was told that my reservation was CANCELED!! Due to them not being able to obtain the funds for the hotel room, AGAIN WHY PROVIDE THE OPTION OF PAYING AT THE PROPERTY WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE THE MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT!! Ironic Booking.com still had the reservation listed for me as Confirmed. Clearly the two companies communication is messed up. I chose not to to the hotel as I was told by the front desk staff "All the rooms were filled" and they had NO vacancy!!!

FAQs about hotels in Baltimore

Historic & Vibrant Harbor Town

Energetic and complex, Baltimore belongs to the select group of historic cities along the east coast of the United States. Located between Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, it’s the birthplace of the National Anthem. It has a lively nightlife, picturesque neighbourhoods, and modern entertainment areas. Its large number of African American population had an important role during the days of the Civil Rights movements.

Founded in 1729, its strategic location in an arm of the Chesapeake Bay rapidly transformed it into an important trading port. The historical site of Fort McHenry is well known for its role during the War of 1812 with the British Empire.

The city has numerous neighbourhoods that still maintain a quaint atmosphere. Fells Point is famous for its 18th and 19th-century architecture, cobbled streets, typical pubs, and plenty of restaurants. Some of the best inns and hotels in Baltimore are located here, while a more local feeling and great accommodation can also be found in Federal Hill and Midtown.

The Inner Harbor is a lively area where tourists can find modern venues and live concerts. Most Baltimore hotels are located in the Harbor, while the business district has also a wide variety of accommodation.

Several people warned me against going to Baltimore as it was a ‘rough city, so I did remove all jewellery before walking around and it has its fair share of homelessness, like any American city these days. However, I spent a very lovely 3 days in the city centre as a single female and really liked the city. Inner Harbor is a lovely development and the city has lots of history in Fells Point, Mount Vernon and Fort McHendry. It was also really easy to get around as the Charm Circulator buses are free (I found a good App to monitor where each bus was) and the Harbor Connector ferries are free Mon to Fri.

I had never been to Baltimore and in my mind it was somewhat...

I had never been to Baltimore and in my mind it was somewhat negative. But I was pleasantly surprised! Much of downtown feels like "urban renewal" from the 1970's, old historic buildings have been scraped and replaced by Brutalist high rises. The historic neighborhoods themselves, like Fell's Point and Mount Vernon are way more interesting than downtown. The inner-harbor, which is a 40 year old redevelopment is not a happening place, despite the tall ships (well, actually only 1 ship). Great public transportation including the free busses that take you around downtown and to the historic neighborhoods. We only had a half day there and could have easily stayed another day.

Baltimore is a wonderful city with lots to do and explore! Particularly love the Fells Point area, the Harbor, and Camden Yards and the surrounding area. There are lots of great restaurants and bars everywhere. It's easy to navigate to just about anywhere, whether you're walking, taking an Uber or using the water taxi. There's lots to do for families and couples.

    The harbor area is great!

The harbor area is great! We took a $25 harbor cruise and learned a lot about the surrounding structures and area. The scooters are the best - so much fun and a great way to get a little farther out of the harbor walking area. We came for baseball and the area in front of the hotel was perfect for mingling with fans before the game. Great restaurants. Easily accessible by the light rail line from BWI airport. We took Amtrak from Penn Station to DC for a Nationals ballgame as well.

Loved it, so much to do & everything is so close!

Loved it, so much to do & everything is so close! If you don't feel like walking you can always UBER or the like for CHEAP! We hit the Zoo, a baseball game, a concert and the waterfront! Yes, some areas looked a bit sketchy, but we had no problems walking around at all hours, including 11PM after a concert to get some food at Silver Moon II. - Side note: the food was delicious and what a variety!
