I look to the room over the phone explaining to the person that I needed a room immediately to sleep tonight not tomorrow not 3:00 p.m. they showed me that there was one available I get to the location and there is none so I am still waiting for my refund thank . We are birders and Beaumont is a great place for that.
We are birders and Beaumont is a great place for that. Smith Oaks, High Island, Boy Scout Woods (major mosquitoes here), Bolivar Peninsula, and Cat Tail Marsh are a few of our favorites. There were some baby birds at the Smith Oaks rookery, which was fun to see. It's a great area for some historical sites, good food, and you get to enjoy the city and the sea shore.

There’s a children’s museum downtown and a cirhouseuse also a huge library that accomodatrs adults and children. There is a bus line you can take alll o de town or an under service They also rent scooters Floyd’s is the best place to eat there

Beaumont was nice but the Days Inn needed some updating.
Beaumont was nice but the Days Inn needed some updating. It had broken picture frames, burned out light and Toiletries paper holder broken off of the wall. The doors had mold on the outside of some of them and the concrete needed cleaning everywhere. The railings and door and windows needed to be replaced due to the paint buildup and in my room you could hardly see out the windo it was so old but the room was clean and the staff was friendly.

Lots of stores to shop & restaurants to eat, gas stations of your choice. Strangers were helpful & friendly. Lots of places to explore. Just put your GPS/Maps on & you are ready to go because I-10 is close to hotel. I love Golden Corral, Taco Bell, IHOP, etc.

I left Beaumont many years ago and each time I return, I'm always curious about progress, improvements, new developments and innovations.
I read that Beaumont hired a new city manager; even though I no longer reside in Beaumont TX, I still consider Beaumont TX home. "Home" is a very sacred and special place to me. A place of safety/security, comfort and peace; a place pleasing to the eye. Out of all the magnificent places I could be, at the end of the day, "There's no place like home".

The room was spacious and very clean. But it did not have a microwave. Large fridge was present. If you chose to stay her for the 'free wifi', forget it. Only time I could get reception, and that was minimal, was very late at night or early in am. And management didn't seem to care. Parking was great.
