Boone has something for everyone! It's a very scenic area, with activities in all seasons. Winter brings great skiing, snowboarding, skating, and snow tubing. Zip lining is available in most months, and the Tanger Outlets are nearby too! There's great food to match any appetite, and lots of hiking trails to make you hungry again! Can't wait to return!
We went for the leaf color view this time of year, many had fallen in the higher elevations, but splendid in the lower elevations like Linville and Marion NC. There has been a lot of urban growth of businesses, streets and activities since I was here over 20 years ago. The locale of the motel was easy access to many sites to venture and the weather was great. I knew incoming rain was on its way and we picked the best days 2 out of 3 to have this trip. I will go again, but maybe the 2nd to mid 3rd week in October to get the splendor of leaf color beauty. I did have a great time with my spouse.
Service every 3 days. Didn't happen. Requested it and was reluctantly provided towels. No tissues or linens change. We stayed 4 nights at Sleep Inn Boone for the past several years but won't be back.
Boone is a sweet small town in the Appalachian mountains. I love it’s proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Even in the drizzling rain, the views are spectacular. Nestled in the center of Boone is ASU campus, these college kids have a lucky life. It is a quaint town with a focus on sustainability.
Was there for only 24 hours to move my daughter out of her apartment. I was traveling with my English Mastiff so finding comfortable, inexpensive accommodations on short notice that accepts dogs was difficult...until I found the Super 8 in Boone. It was in a good location, near restaurants, downtown & university. The reviews were spot on; the facility was clean and welcoming. The room was large, comfortable & clean. Bed was great, there was a microwave and fridge in the room. My favorite part though was the bathroom; updated with a nice vanity and walk in shower. Great value for the money. Unexpectedly nice. Will definitely stay there again.
Nice town, lots of choices for restaurants. Had to leave early so did not get to see all wanted to. Luna is a great Asian restaurant. Appalachian State a very nice campus. Understand a good skiing area. Summer scenery beautiful.
Boone
Location is off beaten path but takes less than 10 minutes from main streets. It's rustic but modern for a relaxing stay. It actually started as a family home for a prolific architect, seems like a home more than resort. Overall it's a real gem in the mountains of Boone, watched 2 deers under our deck each morning. They hold weddings, reunions and such with huge outdoor decks and also fine dining if interested
The hotel has a beautiful location, the view is amazing. I got the chance to see snow showers from there. It is clean and organized. Even with the pandemic they had real breakfast - one family at a time could enter the room to get served, they were even making waffles. The room as a great size so as the bathroom, Comfortable for a family with kids. It was a great weekend.
Marcia was an incredibly gracious host. She was very communicative and answered any questions we had before and during our stay. The accomodation was very comfortable and was a great base for our Boone, NC getaway. The apartment was sparkling clean and the effort put into minor details was noticable. Thank you for a great stay!
Stayed in same room as previous visit, good location, very cozy room, we had the Queen Log, back off the main Hwy 105, pet friendly, beds very well made with crisp white sheets! Clean white towels! Private balcony. Close to any services you would need, food, supplies, attractions, shopping. Love staying here.
I liked how roomy the room was! There were also more amenities than I expected and the refreshments in the market were relatively cheap for a hotel in a tourist trap town. If I get the opportunity I will definitely be booking with Comfort Suites again! The breakfast was also really good.
Customer service, cleanliness is good. Enough towels, toiletries were provided for us. Most important pet friendly hotel, we have peace of mind because our pet is with us. Fresh smell on the hallway. SAFE and COVENIENT to stay in this hotel.
The staff was friendly. The breakfast was made to order, was delicious and included in the price of the room. Rooms were clean and a great size for the value. Great location to restaurants and stores and downtown Boone.
I like this hotel because it is clean, the pool is great, breakfast is always on time and many choices to pick. Staff is nice too. This is the second time I stayed here. And prices very affordable. Thank you 😊.
This was a great place to stay along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The hotel was very centrally located and perfect for a comfortable night's stay.
Spacious, clean, hotel up on a hill, located near a strip of restaurants and businesses.
The hotel was quiet. And easy to get to in all the traffic. Friendly staff.
It was very comfortable and pet friendly which is important to us.
