The hotel is brand new and clean. Guests are well behaved and staff are approachable, responsive and helpful. The hotel is close to the number 2 and 5 trains. There is a large secure supermarket with a friendly owner across the road as well as a Dunkin and burger king. Avoid the delis and walking around at dusk.

I like that it was clean and quiet. I choose the non-smoking room. Me and my guest had a good time, we turn on the tv and played music through youtube. We had a small refrigderator where we stored our drinks.

The Bronx has a lot to offer, and depending on the season , it could be great 👍 It has the Bronx Zoo, New York Botanical Gardens,Belmont' s Little Italy built by the first wave of immigrants . Check out some of the beautiful old buildings, pastry shops,restaurants,Enrico Fermi Library and fantastic bakeries. But, religious or not, do NOT leave without visiting " Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church" constructed a very long time ago by immigrants. Bring your camera; the artwork and statues are reminiscent of those found 🇮🇹 in Italian art and museums . A must see: the market on Arthur Ave constructed under Fiorello LaGuardia's reign. Get ready to sample great food and shops 👌

I booked the hotels for events in Manhattan, and as Manhattan was too expensive I booked this hotel. Saying that The Bronx is not a bad neighborhood and their appear to be things to do for tourist (Zoo, Museums, Yankee Stadium)

I liked my experience, it was adventurous full of life and full of different characters. It’s also close to a lot of what to enjoy. I went to city island, it was amazing especially for seafood lovers.

Bronx is a good place but the house and all the shenanigans about no one picking the call but texting only. I thought it was a hotel not knowing it’s a house in some dark places in Bronx. I texted the person back that I’m not interested because I feel uncomfortable and have asked for a refund of $203. Shiiii….

The area has changed a fair bit since the 80s where it gained a bad reputation. However there is still much to be done. Many of the shops don't take care of their sidewalk and it makes for a bad bit of walking. At night you do need to be hyper aware of your surroundings. There is a wonderful gym called Blink that you can work out at if your hotel lacks proper facilities.

This side of the Bronx is not nice.

This side of the Bronx is not nice. When your UBER driver says "I wouldn't stay here", starts your vacation on the wrong foot. We went to a Yankee Game for the weekend, UBER'd everywhere. I would stay in Upper Manhattan. it would cost the same and is not that far from the stadium.

This small hotel with limited services is located about 300 meters from metro lines 2 and 5 and very close to bus stop Bx19. So, it's easy to travel to Manhattan. The room is not very big, but it is fine, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is clean. The room has a safe, refrigerator and microwave. The latter are very useful because there is no breakfast or restaurant in the hotel. But there is a supermarket directly across the street that also sells hot food. Unfortunately, there is no coffee maker or kettle in the room.

The hotel is in a rundown area but only a block away from the 4-5 subway station (138th street) which takes you to midtown Manhattan in 20 minutes. Rooms are small but clean. Ours had comfortable king beds with good linen. Still and soda water fountain available in the lobby. There is valet parking available for an extra fee, we paid $45/night for an SUV. Great place if you are going to spend most of your time walking the city and using the hotel only to sleep!

The biggest problem is that the air conditioner is very noisy when it is on. It is not possible to turn the air conditioner off in the evenings even if we want to. It needs to be on for heating in the winter anyway. But I would want to turn it off at night because of its noise. The pastries and buns that came for breakfast were stale. The bread was fresh. It was the most affordable hotel with breakfast that I found.
