It has the Bronx Zoo, New York Botanical Gardens,Belmont' s Little Italy built by the first wave of immigrants . Check out some of the beautiful old buildings, pastry shops,restaurants,Enrico Fermi Library and fantastic bakeries. But, religious or not, do NOT leave without visiting " Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church" constructed a very long time ago by immigrants. Bring your camera; the artwork and statues are reminiscent of those found 🇮🇹 in Italian art and museums . A must see: the market on Arthur Ave constructed under Fiorello LaGuardia's reign. Get ready to sample great food and shops 👌

I booked the hotels for events in Manhattan, and as Manhattan was too expensive I booked this hotel. Saying that The Bronx is not a bad neighborhood and their appear to be things to do for tourist (Zoo, Museums, Yankee Stadium)

Bronx is a good place but the house and all the shenanigans about no one picking the call but texting only. I thought it was a hotel not knowing it’s a house in some dark places in Bronx. I texted the person back that I’m not interested because I feel uncomfortable and have asked for a refund of $203. Shiiii….

The area has changed a fair bit since the 80s where it gained a bad reputation. However there is still much to be done. Many of the shops don't take care of their sidewalk and it makes for a bad bit of walking. At night you do need to be hyper aware of your surroundings. There is a wonderful gym called Blink that you can work out at if your hotel lacks proper facilities.

This side of the Bronx is not nice.
This side of the Bronx is not nice. When your UBER driver says "I wouldn't stay here", starts your vacation on the wrong foot. We went to a Yankee Game for the weekend, UBER'd everywhere. I would stay in Upper Manhattan. it would cost the same and is not that far from the stadium.

The women and the man in the evening where the only good parts to my stay here. the only reason I know this is that I had a terrible time there and they placated me and were cheerful given the terrible state of the hotel, the hotel should be pleased to have two workers that at least try to make the experience better. when its honestly not there job, the hotel should be as advertised and it is not.

Not your traditional location for a New York stay, but we loved it. Fabulous location; a two-minute walk to the 'Joker' steps, a five-minute walk to 167th Street subway which takes you direct to the main attractions, and a ten-minute walk to Yankee Stadium. The breakfast at the hotel was very good with enough choice to set you up for the day.

Everything was excellent. A note for guests from the Europe: you may find the breakfast somewhat disappointing, as—at least in my experience—breakfast offerings in our countries tend to be more varied, even within a similar price range for accommodation. In comparison with hotels in the United States, the breakfast was standard.

Perfect for a trip to New York on a budget. The hotel is pretty new and very clean, great bathroom and bed comfy. Subway 5 is close by.. a supermarket across the street!
