Didn't stop in Bryson, the lodge was a few miles away from the city.. The first photo is the lodge office. The second is a great little bar across the street with live music the night I was there. The Topoco restaurant is a short drive away and shouldn't be missed. Great food most items were $15 to $25.
We have been there several times. We visit the mountains to ride and enjoy the views. Bryson City is nice - has restaurants and other things downtown to do... We ate at the Italian Restaurant ( had to get to go) Also ate at CJ's... both were nice places to eat. Enjoyable vist.
What a great little town, and so friendly. Make sure you stop for breakfast at Everett's; you'll feel like family. Whitewater rafting, fishing, zip lines, train rides, hiking; you name it, Bryson City has it. Did I mention the beautiful scenery?
Went to take a long train ride and had a wonderful time. Surprised at how much we enjoyed the railroad museum. The scavenger hunt was great fun. The shopping was fun and the food was great. Especially enjoyed the Everett Street Diner.
Rail and Raft is a great experience for most ages. The Nantahala River is always cold...it comes out of the bottom of a dam. The Train museum is great. The Chocolate Shoppe and Jerky shop are fantastic if you're a foodie.
Bryson City is a great town, lots of hiking and natural interests nearby, the Tunnel to Nowhere, the Great Smoky Mountains Railway, Deep Creek, etc, The food is great at Everett Street Diner, we had breakfast there all three mornings! Staff and owner super friendly, efficient and hard working, food served hot and fresh, and they keep the coffee cups full. Pasqualino's has delicious Italian, and the shopping is unique and diverse. =Be sure to stop in at the Swain County Museum
Bryson City
Rm 19 back of room faces the river, a short walk to river, area clean, maintained, picnic tables/shelter; quiet, away from congestion, main drag; chairs on front; room was spotless, comfy, an older establishment but maintained; I will return, planning another trip; it was very quiet, a hot day, a/c no problems; saw elk at Oconaluftee; I prefer quiet, peaceful over fancy newer places. Felt safe there. A very quiet area away from main drag but only 5 mi to Cherokee & Bryson City. My first stay, loved it.
Bryson City
This stay far exceeded our expectations! Ed and Shirley went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They have complimentary breakfast items in the suite along with a fully equipped kitchen if you prefer to eat in instead of out. The location was great. It is walking distance to downtown and a short drive to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park as well as other great places we went to. Highly recommend if you are coming to the Bryson city area.
This older home has been beautifully restored. It has a wonderful view of the mountains and sits in a quiet area. The furnishings were comfortable. The gas logs were a nice feature to have on the cooler mornings. The front porch with the rocking chairs was a great place to sit anytime of the day. The fire pit was a nice place to sit by the fire, roast marshmallows, & fix s’mores. It’s conveniently located to everything that Bryson City offers.

Breakfast was wonderful! My grandkids did not want to leave. They were excited to put their golden ticket with their name on the Christmas Tree and participate in the Christmas crafts. This was the fourth time we stayed at the Inn. We will definitely stay at the Inn when we return to Bryson City. The Inn keepers and the little extras make it such a friendly and quaint place to stay.
Bryson City
Andy met us upon arrival, gave us the door code and gave us a tour of the house and answered all our questions about the house, area roads and restaurants. The location was perfect for our access to the roads we were riding and very close to Bryson City (awesome little town!). We are passing the word to all of our friends about this location, it is truly a gem!
We did not get breakfast because they stop serving at 9:30. I just don’t understand why they would do that in a town as small as Bryson City with as few places for breakfast is available that they would not offer breakfast until checkout or at least 10:00
