Just a half mile north of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, this Cape Charles, Virginia waterfront resort offers a private beach. With an outdoor pool, it is home to a casual summer restaurant. Liked the friendly staff and grounds, the big chair and hammocks, and the sunset!
Set in Cape Charles, Virginia, Shore Stay Suites features a barbecue and terrace. Every room at this hotel is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. I would definitely recommend staying here. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. It was very clean both in the room and outside. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
I love the small town feel. The free beach and parking are awesome. The town has cute shops, nice restaurants and a couple of breweries. And if you need more excitement, VAB is only 45 minutes away.
The beach was good. The rooms were outdated and beds were not comfortable and the AC was too noisy. The beach is within 5-10 minutes walking from the rooms. Walking from the hotel to the beach was thru a RV parking area.🤪
So much to enjoy in this charming area. Main Street in Cape Charles offers everything including various lodging and dining options, sightseeing, and shopping. There are beaches nearby including one adjacent to Jack's Spot at Sunset Beach (Sunset Beach is a great multi-lodging-option resort!) Only about 4.5 hours from our home in PA, it's close enough for a long weekend.
The rooms are deplorable. The pictures on line do not show the true condition of the rooms. They also advertise water views but don’t have any water views, unless maybe with binoculars. This property is very dated and old. It has not been updated through the years. Looks like it would be a good spot for camping but stay away from the rooms.
The town was very quaint and layed back. Beach was amazing. The brewery was a great place good beer and food. We had dinners at Kelly's Pub, Oyster Farm and Ambrogia ,All three places has great food. If you like cider Bucket Cider was the best. Cape Charles was a great place to unwind and relax.
When we reserved the room online it showed 98 dollars. We paid in advance. When we got there we where told we still had to pay another 43 dollars. And the lady at the front desk couldn’t tell us why. So I was disappointed by that. Room was not what was pictured on the website. The pool was open but there was dirt all over the bottom of it. The dog park had a lot of poop in it , like no one cleans up. There was poop around the premises too. So be careful when you walk in the grass. Between the hotel and the beach is a lot of campers. Also you have to walk through them if you want to go to the big pool.
Nice clean, quiet spot to spend the night while visiting Cape Charles. Recent renovations, comfortable beds, small rooms just big enough for two.
Being renovated. Good location for traveling to Chesapeake Bay Area and Carolinas. Low rates.
I didn’t know there was breakfast. We ate out. I loved the hotel pool and accommodations
