Plenty of things to do. Restaurants, attractions, boardwalk, historic areas and museums, Downtown Wilmington, Fort Fisher Ferry, NC Aquariums, fishing piers and charters, etc. If you are bored, it is your fault. Public parking is ample but expensive. There are plenty of places to park, but you will pay for it unless you have private parking at your rental and can walk to where you need to go. Still, Carolina Beach has a beautiful beach and is a great place to vacation.

My husband and I took a last minute mini vacation on Carolina Beach. We had a glitch with our reservation somehow; staff was great taking of it for us! Loved the beaches, the aquarium is a must see, also visited historic Fort Fisher: which has a breathtaking view of the beach, prefect for a picnic and a stroll. Also, recommend Stoked Restaurant food great a little pricy but not unexpected at the beach, service was great and wish I remembered her name, only have a bill with EB H for my server whom we highly recommend.

I love to visit Carolina Beach because it offers a wide beach of white sand and a gentle slope. There is a great variety of restaurants, bars and even an amusement park. There boardwalk takes you back in time where you can stroll at night enjoying some ice cream of doughnuts from Britts. If you want a simple fast breakfast or other meal, you will find Bojangles, Hardees and McDonalds.

The restaurants are amazing at Carolina Beach, something for everybody! I love the boardwalk and all the stores and places to eat on it. You could stay for weeks and still not do everything there is to do!

Wonderful location with everything within walking distance... restaurants, entertainment, bars, beach, walks around the lake, farmers market. Of course, we went during the summer. Tip: checkout "Bowmans at the Beach" restaurant for the best calabash seafood you will ever have!

Golden Sands Hotel was such a wonderful stay. The location is perfect, steps onto the beach, and the room was just perfect, ocean front balcony, clean and cozy room! It was very convenient. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The check out with Robin was so nice, shes so friendly, and kind! We cant wait to come back!
