Secluded and private. Sandie was very sweet and the house was very clean and exactly what I was looking for. Great to be able to bring my pup along for the ride as we were passing through town. I will definitely look to use this property again in the future!

We were just there overnight, so we didn't get to Manatee Springs, which looked interesting. Not many restaurant choices in Chiefland, unless you are into fast food. The restaurant next to the Quality Inn was a good one though.

Nice place to stop in the middle of our travels.

Nice place to stop in the middle of our travels. The room could have used some brighter lightbulbs. The beds were very comfy and the staff was friendly and helpful. I’d stay here again. I think I’d ask for a room further from the pool. That may have contributed to the high humidity in our room.

We stayed here to go to a high school graduation of a relative. Neal's Nest was small, cute, and irresistibly relaxing and fun. There was no awkward "check-in" process, although I think we met the owner's child - a very polite young man who invited us to enjoy a fire that he built. It was much like camping out or staying in a pool cottage -- quiet, serene, and peaceful. We loved it! Understand that this place is small and cozy without the amenities of a sterile stand hotel chain. To us, that was delightful.

The location is gorgeous, right on the river... has a great restaurant with wonderful vibe right next door ("Treasure Camp"). It's a bit off the beaten path of main part of Chiefland, but very relaxing setting. I don't fish or have a boat, but would be excellent retreat for those purposes. It's great even if you don't do those things. It was quiet and I felt safe. I appreciated that it was dog friendly, but the pet fee was kind of pricey (about a hundred dollars extra with tax)

I booked through booking.com . I don’t know if it was their fault or Quality Inn but it was a hassle with my credit card. I got charged twice because even though the staff ran my card when I checked in and I signed. She came to our room a couple of hours later and said it didn’t charge it so I had to go back to the office and she ran it again. I checked my credit card a little later and it showed two charges!

Sandie was very nice. The place was very roomy, like a suite in a hotel. As far as location, I guess it depends on what you are interested in. I was attending the Astrofest at Chiefland Astronomy Village, and for that, the location was very good, about 10 minutes away.
