Good breakfast, friendly staff and the facilities are okay. I liked that there was free bottled water and fruits to pick from. It was also quiet and serene to read something here.

Day 1. Tuesday sink drain slow to drain.

Day 1. Tuesday sink drain slow to drain. Day 2 Wed morning had cream/ sugar but no coffee , couldn't brush teeth since sink was clogged. Called front desk and told him. Went to front desk, no one there. Called on phone @ front desk 4 times with no response no person. Wrote note on 81/2 by 11 paper and left it on front desk saying room 211 needs coffee and drain unclogged. Came back PM and no coffees and drain hadn't been fixed. Mgr Jim said he hadn't been told and gave us coffee at front desk and said housekeeping would come up and run draino in it. Ceilia came to room and applied draino and said she'd come back in 1/2hr. She came back but it didn't fix it so she tried it again but it still didn't work. She said they'd send a plumber the nxt day and after 2 days w/o a sink I said no and wanted another room. Jim upgraded us to 221 and some clown in a hat threw the new cards on the counter for me to grab. 221 had the sink being held up by 2x4s delaminated from counter top 1/2". Had to balance the coffee pot on ledge because gfi did't work leaving only 1 plug to use. I have pictures. Day 4, door cards didn't work ,went to front desk, no one there, called on front desk phone finally answered and said they'd be right down. Waited 10 mins while another guy called him also on frnt desk phone with same reply. My wife came in and after we all waited she called with same reply. He finally showed up and rudely reset all of our cards with smart ass comments. Saturday, Day 5 Checkout desk clerk gave me Mgr Jims and Owner Nicks name but no Ph# or Email address. I've stayed at the Mcgloughlin hotel several times with good results but this was a nightmare. I'd like 2 comp days for this at any other hotel Nick owns excluding this location. Most: nice flooring; clean room

Most: nice flooring; clean room Worst: No water connected in the shower; LOUD. traffic noise from the 6 lane highway outside the window was unbearable; no curtains to deaden sound just a pull down shade; something hitting the other side of the bedroom walls sporadically till 2 am and no phone in the room to report it. No bedspread. Only a flannel “blanket” on top of the sheet.

My stay at this hotel makes everything convenient.

My stay at this hotel makes everything convenient. Can see your car from any room. Great breakfast to start your day shopping at huge mall. Any store you can think of. Top rate doctors and medical close by. Some places are a little hidden but they are there, like Costco. Banks are not far but around 3 miles. Great food!! Close to 205 if you prefer to go into Portland but there really isnt any need. 205 branches into any main city street. I use to live in Portland for 17 years and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. There is also a great spa near by.

Clackamas is going down the tubes badly.

Clackamas is going down the tubes badly. I grew up in Clackamas and it was known as a super nice area to live but not anymore. Homeless and drug addicts are taking over - just like Portland, Gresham and the whole dang state!

We reserved and were placed in a pet friendly room.

We reserved and were placed in a pet friendly room. Unfortunately, our wall was against the elevator wall... we heard ever ding for every floor EVERY TIME someone used the elevator. We overlooked that because we asked for a pet-friendly room. When we walked to our room, we were overcome by the smell of someone smoking marijuana. We proceeded to the room, hoping that it wouldn't be in there... unfortunately it was and when we turned on the light in the bathroom, the exhaust fan proceeded to pull more smoke in under the main door into our room. It was awful. I went to the front desk and the lady was very nice and said she would look into it. I don't know what was done, but it seemed to improve. Our second night was far worse. I went again to the front desk and the gentlman there, Germaine, said "if you want to go to another hotel, I won't charge you. I said "That's very kind of you to offer but we already paid for both nights through booking.com." So he said "well there's nothing I can do because it's legal here." I said, "It's legal in my state too but hotels don't tolerate this." He then said "well you are in a pet-friendly room so maybe you're mistaking it for a pet smell." (Ok, so now THAT'S ok? Seriously?) So then he said "I was just down that hallway a little while ago and I didn't smell anything." (Of course not if you're mistaking it for pet odors!) I will NEVER stay in this hotel again and quite possibly NEVER in a Hampton Inn again. It used to be my favorite hotel chain.

The hotel was conveniently located for the plans we had for the weekend, downtown Portland, Happy Valley, out to the airport. Found a wonderful Chinese restaurant in Happy Valley, Wan Lung, great food and terrific service!

The front desk night shift guy was awesome he tried to help in anyway he possibly could. The manager and his customer service skills were horrendous. He is quite frankly rude to his employees and rude to customers. He has no capability of compassion or communication and needs to retire because customer service anything is not for him. I will never recommend anyone to this hotel and I will never be back.

The locations was perfect in that it was in front of MAX rail Clackamas station and was very close to the shopping mall. The staff were very attentive and kind too. The hotel was neat and clean and the room cleaning was done nicely. Nice breakfast with delicious coffee.
