Loved the design aesthetic. Room had EVERYTHING and more, including a coffee pour over setup. You don't see this kind of care very much anymore. Super responsive hosts. One of the best places I've ever stayed and will definitely return.

I am always biased in favor of the Pacific Northwest (PNW), Portland being a big part of PNW. Portland is a city where you can be in forest in five minutes. go to the the Northwest side, you're like in Bondi, New South Wales in Australia. Go to downtown and you see the biggest bookstore in the world (fact). Portland and Oregon as a whole is a target rich environment for PHOTOGRAPHERS. Portland's Japanese Garden is the most authentic garden outside of Japan as attested by a past Japanese ambassador to the US. If can say that --- so can I. I've been ther many times. Must also see the Portland Rose Garden --- best and biggest I've seen. Portland is after all the City of Roses because roses thrive there because of its climate / weather. When you visit Portland --- make usre you drive along it's MAJESTIC COAST. Man it's breath taking. So PICTURERESQUE.

Lincoln City has always been a great location for stays.

Lincoln City has always been a great location for stays. Multiple towns to visit within close drive. Good restaurants when eating out. Lots of shops to wonder around in. The Casino close by for some extra fun. Have been going to the area for over 60 years, wish I had bought a retirement home there. This year the weather for December was really good, not a lot of rain and allowed plenty of time to walk the beaches.

Medford is pretty much a full service town, offering a wide variety of attractions, nature and dining to fill up any length of vacation. Milder in climate during the winter, if your looking to escape the cold, but winter activities close by. Gets pretty hot in the summer. Spring and fall are beautiful there.

Salem is quite small and unfortunately the state capitol was undergoing building work (it's one of the main sights). Not too many shops and restaurants downtown but the ones I went too were very good. Good place for a couple of days visit.

We are not your typical travelers to Ashland, as we live 74 miles away and are usually coming over for a concert/musical show. Our town is more rural and Ashland provides a good opportunity to stock up on things we can't get in our town. Always stop at Ashland's own Shop-n-Kart grocery. We also, almost always, stop at Falafel Republic for to go Greek food. Sam, the owner is super nice and he makes great food!! If there is time and we don't need to be home, we love to wander Lithia Park for a few hours. People on "vacation" there, for what ever reason, will find this to be a town of immense charm and variety.

The hotel that we stayed at was outdated, moldy, and stinky.

The hotel that we stayed at was outdated, moldy, and stinky. The Chinese restaurant next it had server whom didn’t dress appropriately for their server role. Other than that, the Panda Express and the Walmart were great. Small town with small town vibes but no one was rude. I wouldn’t stay at Grants Pass again but will stay at a much higher rated hotel.
