New facility in great location, close to Sisters and the main road, but still quiet and inviting. It is run by local owners, and the staff are very approachable and professional. The breakfast area is very nice with the usual fare, but very adequate. It doesn't come across as a chain hotel with no sense of ownership.

Absolutely superb! We had a fantastic stay. Our room was on the second floor, overlooked the river and had a balcony. Facilities were great (2 pools, indoor and outdoor, leisure centre, place to do laundry as we’ve been in a long road trip, fantastic restaurant, etc.) Staff was great - every single one of them. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The room had 3 beds which was appreciated for our family of 4. It was clean and spacious for our needs. The room had great amenities like a fridge, tea, glasses and cups. There was a small balcony where you could sit and observe the woods. My kids enjoyed being in a different room from us parents. They were able to relax and watch TV in their own space. The heated pools were great! There was a fitness studio, which I didn't get a chance to use. I wish we had the ability to stay longer.

We liked the location, the staff, and the varied historic facilities on the property. It is a compound! We stayed across the parking lot from the main building in the Ed House. Terrific room, comfortable bed, and decor reminiscent of the era it represents--there are surprises throughout the property! Easy walk to restaurants, breweries, cafes and the river. We regret that we only stayed one night and could not absorb all the great offerings of McMeneman's!

There are so many places in Bend to eat and to have fun it is one of my most favorite places to go. When I get to vacation I pick Bend because there is always something to do there. There is always a place to see that is gorgeous. The people of Bend seem to be friendly and kind. Getting around Bend was not easy as they are doing construction but with GPS you will get to were you are going eventually. The shopping!! Victoria Secret, Kohls, Ross, Pendleton Store....OH MY!!! It is the best for shopping. There are so many stores. Also the Black Bear Dinner YUM!!! and all the food carts!

Can't beat the price and the location next to Safeway and across from Domino's which all have options that meet our dietary needs. I also appreciate the limited complimentary breakfast with coffee, bagels, oatmeal and lactose free yogurt. The kitchenette in my one bed room was a bonus I wasn't expecting! This location is in the middle of town and convenient to everything. Management is friendly and very attentive. The decor is dated but it is easily overlooked due to the value it provides. This is my second stay and will stay again! Thank you so much!

I like visiting the town of Sisters. The Sisters Saloon is a great place to eat. For its size Sisters has a great selection of restaurants and several great coffee shops. Lots of neat shops to visit also. Hikes are also nearby. Don't forget to visit the Metolius river which is a short distance away. beautiful!

Great town for outdoors activities, year round. Also has great restaurants, and an arts scene, and music in the bars, some not listed in the weekly paper even. Also some classical music on certain weekends. Hike/walk the Deschutes River Trail, and Chevlin Park, for places closer to town.

Redmond is a typical suburban sprawl city a few miles north of Bend...not much of a downtown...more long highways with big-box stores and warehouses with a few smaller plazas tucked down side streets. We had a decent lunch at a place called Croutons. The airport is here, not Bend, but Bend is much more of a city with a downtown and lots of things to do. Proximity to many outdoor activities for hiking and walking, etc. Two and a half hours by car from Portland, but very different...high desert, not coastal rain forest.
