This is a town you drive through or overnight on a long trip. Except for the Carlsbad Caverns 3 and 1/2 hours south there is nothing there besides the Cannon Air Force base, cattle ranches and tumble weeds. Don’t think I had any complaints if only I would have gotten a room closer to the elevators on the second floor and the bottom floor closet the office other than that I have no issues like I said, they did have an extra blanket in the room. Clovis is a very friendly place. I would highly recommend a honky tonk downtown with bottled domestic beer and name brand hard liquors....... I think Uber and Lift drivers could make a killing......there were none available and it way quite the challenge to find transportation to and from the airport........no problem, we made it work, however, it was too close for comfort......Guest review byDavidUnited States - 8.0

Actually, this stay was at the very beginning of my permanent move to Clovis and as I searched for a home. Clovis is much bigger and more pleasant than I expected. I am pleasantly surprised. Clovis is not a destination.
Clovis is not a destination. It is stopping point going to northern New Mexico's ski areas. Numerous restaurants. Do not miss Leal's for some great Mexican food.
