nice relaxed town but a bit boring. Chicago is nicer.
nice relaxed town but a bit boring. Chicago is nicer. Denver is nice if you want to make tours in the rocky mountains but in the town there is relatively little to do. Also take into account the height.........many travellers experience altitude sickness, like we, for a week. had not realized this

We came strictly for Red Rocks Amphitheater but could have spent another day exploring eating and drinking and some outdoor activities. There are some nice neighborhoods and world class mountains an hour away.

It was great seeing mountains and the High Desert Plains.
It was great seeing mountains and the High Desert Plains. The high altitude can lead to lightheadedness, if you're in the mountains too long. There are a lot of outdoor activities that you can engage in. If you are into whitewater rafting, rock climbing or ziplining - Denver and the other neighboring cities would be to your liking.

Excellent!
Excellent! Easy to get a around and a great jumping off point to Golden, The Buffalo Bill Museum, Manitou, the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. All of which I did on my short three day trip to Colorado and never at a rushed pace. As far as food, it seemed I was around Union Station more than a few times. Within a couple of blocks, recommended to me, is Milk Market which is a food hall with at least 12 different local vendors. Super convenient, something for everyone and the few places I tried, really good.

This was our second trip here to see our team play at Coors Field. Last time, though, just my son and I and we took the train so didn't have a long stay; we stayed this time in LoDo right by Union Station. We did find some fun neighborhoods, and were not upset when our train returning home was delayed by several hours due to extreme heat out west. This trip, we explored LoHi and LoDo as we had more family along. Very friendly people, despite our obvious affiliation to the opposing team, especially at Coors Field. All at Denver International friendly and helpful. Some homeless in view in the river areas especially, but for sure many more positives to focus on. So many great options for dining, relaxing, children, and very walkable! Try Tony P's for awesome pizza and dessert! Dairy Block and Milk Market remind us of our home, and were so fun! Larimer Square, Downtown Denver Aquarium, Coors Field all great! Another day and we would have toured the Children's Museum and the Botanical Gardens. So many fun breweries also reminded us of home! Zuni Street Brewing Company across from our condo was a great hangout spot for beer and games. Coors Field is a wonderful baseball experience. I would go back just for the 4th of July fireworks!!

I loved Denver.
I loved Denver. So much to see and do and a great gateway to Colorado. It’s arty, foodie, full of breweries and the different districts have their own identity. Interesting history and great climate though I found myself struggling with the altitude that meant I got tired quickly and did not have as much energy as usual. If you are not used to it it’s important to pace yourself and drink plenty of water. I used the RTD a lot, buses and trains and managed ok although the bus stops are hard to spot. Plenty of good bars and restaurants, I looked out for independent delis like Rye Society in RiNo which serves fab coffee and deli sandwiches (I had the Ruben on Rye - amazing) and makes their own pickles. Flower Child in Cherry Creek also great and good value - very special salads. Plenty of steak and Mexican places - it’s very easy to find good food. My favourite dish, the Ajo Blanco at Ultreia (chilled garlic and almond soup). Definitely on my ‘to visit again’ list. The Botanical Gardens are beautiful and the Art Museum superb - would love more time in both.
This hotel was immaculately clean, well situated near to the ice hockey arena. It had an excellent breakfast buffet. It was expensive, I suppose, but seemed reasonable compared to other hotels in Downtown Denver.
Nice modern hotel near the airport. Denver traffic is very heavy throughout the day so it takes time to get to the hotel. I went downtown in mid-morning and it took 45 minutes from the hotel.
Breakfast was amazing .. definitely factored into my decision. Room was great and in a fantastic location to see the mural art in Denver. Very close to train station to airport or downtown.
