I will never stay at another Hyatt House due to this...

I will never stay at another Hyatt House due to this experience. I was only there to catch an early flight the next day. People were partying, slamming doors, smoking weed, yelling in the hallways, etc….until I got my room changed just before 3am. The staff was helpful but took a long time for anyone to answer the phone to resolve this issue. It was an unfortunate situation, this type of place would be great for long stays.

We enjoyed our stay in Denver.

We enjoyed our stay in Denver. There are plenty of great breweries to try and all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful! Wynkoop brewery had great beers and great food (we recommend the pretzel and dill pickles!! Tap13 had an awesome rooftop bar with so many choices of local drinks! The Rino area was full of trendy shops and bars and the artwork on the buildings was an attraction in itself! Denver was easy to get around in. The 16th street mall has a free mall bus which takes you from block to block! The train from the airport goes directly to Union Station, landing you right in the amazing lodo district! The downtown area was easy to walk around and had a busy nightlife. Most places had happy hour specials which we enjoyed. We spent an afternoon at Upstairs Circus where you can create art projects and enjoy beverages, which is a unique place! We went to a concert at the Grizzly Rose which is a really cool bar and concert venue! Rockbottom Brewery was also good (their Nachos were great!).

If u are going for a specific reason.. sports, hiking, etc fine, but just to see Denver, no. Big city. Lots of walking and things of interest are so spread out. Taxis not readily available that you can just flag one to ride to next spot. So without personal transportation not a great spot.

    The mountains are amazing.

The mountains are amazing. I was north of Denver and traffic was generally good. Lots of stores, dining options in Longmont area. The Denver airport was a nightmare. I stayed at one of the hotel on campus so I could take a shuttle to airport. The traffic was insane. The airport was crowded and there’s a lot of walking to get to a gate. I arrived at the airport at 4:00am for a 6:30am flight. There were at least 1000 people waiting for security to open. The lines wrapped around outside of security area, into hallways. The wait time was over an hour and a half. Then, to get to gates B, C, you have to get on a train. When you get off the train you’ll be walking quite a distance to gates. Finally arrived at gate 5:45am. So plan to arrive and deal with massive amounts of people, waiting and walking. Not an enjoyable way to travel. But Colorado is just beautiful once you navigate the transportation.

Congested highway almost everywhere regardless of the time...

Congested highway almost everywhere regardless of the time of the day. No HOV lanes anywhere that I can see in the major freeways leading in and out of the city. The airport is so far away from the city and it is a bad designed airport . It takes too long to get to the gates. Make sure you need ample time to get to your flight on time. I would not go back to Denver.
