- quiet (there was a train line close by our windows, but we couldn’t hear it and we had good sleep)

United StatesI liked how the location was next to a gas station and some food places so easy snacks and meals without going far. I liked the showers, the water pressure was good and the heating in the room was pretty good too. The staff were also friendly and accepting so that's cool.

Eateries and certain other places were within convenient proximity to the motel where we stayed. Sidewalks and the entrances to many premises were dingy, and could be cleaned and maintained more frequently.

The listing and invoice I received mentions following amenities -
• Private bathroom, Guest bathroom & Shared toilet - In fact there is only one bathroom. For a family of 4, one bathroom is not suitable, and everybody was frustrated. The bathroom had chipped paint on the ceiling, just above the tub. The flakes fell down few times during shower. The tub was also a bit slippery and was missing the non-slip bathmat inside the tub.
• Washing machine - The property listing does not mention the fact that there is no washing machine inside the unit. In fact, is a paid facility outside the unit.
• Refrigerator - The refrigerator does not have water supply connected. So, no ice or water from the refrigerator. We had to buy crates of water during our stay. When I informed this to the property, they said they were not aware of the refrigerator.
• Private pool - I was extremely disappointed with was the pool. In the pictures it looked so much nicer, and my kids were very excited to use it. But when they arrived at the pool, it was very dirty and unusable.
• Toaster - I did not see a toaster in the kitchen.
• Kitchenware - There were XL pots and pans. but both of them were dirty and greasy. I had to request them to provide clean ones, and a new pan was provided. there were only 3 big dinner plates and one of the smaller plates was chipped.
• Carbon monoxide detector - It mentions CO detector, but I found that disconnected in the media unit under the TV. Not sure if it was in a working condition.
• Wifi - The wifi in this home was also not working for last 2 days at this property. This made the TVs hard to use and also do any work on laptop. I had to use my personal hotspot for 2 days for work and entertainment for kids. When I informed the property about this, they mentioned Service provider was informed but we did not get wifi and had to rely on my personal hotspot.
• Sitting furniture and sofa - The furniture is worn, dirty and uncomfortable to use.

I grew up in Downey and it’s changed a lot but definitely worth seeing. Downey is located in a terrific area that is easy to access other places.
It’s close to many places like Disneyland, Hollywood and many more places.

Downey is the place we stay when in California.
Downey is the place we stay when in California. It is conveniently located to all of the major highways; plenty of eateries, shopping and restaurants. The vibe of Downey is chill and is definitely a family oriented city!

The stay was nice.
The stay was nice. Continental breakfast was the best I ever had. The only thing I didn't like was the charge for parking and due to the events that were going on both nights, I had to wait until 11:30pm for the events to be over to move my car. I was really tired and the front desk would not make an exception to leave my car where they first told me to park it, so I didn't get enough sleep.

Downey is an awesome location!
Downey is an awesome location! It is in close proximity to the highways, there are great eateries and shopping, and Porto's is always an added bonus for us because they do not have any in Las Vegas (where we reside). Getting around Downey is easy; good shopping and restaurants on Lakewood and a great restaurant there is El Pescador if you love authentic Mexican food! (tip, eat lightly because the portions are huge, and you will have extra to take home!).
Downey Avenue is a treat with their indoor/outdoor eateries with the Farmer's Market within walking distance every Saturday morning.
If you feel like heading into the LBC, to avoid the highway, take the main surface street, Lakewood Avenue. It will take you right into Lakewood/ LBC.

The location was amazing especially if you want to do some shopping and also enjoy the quietness of a holiday destination. I had a great time walking from my hotel to shopping outlets that were just minutes away. The front desk manager was very helpful; my bag delayed but as soon as it was delivered he let me know!!!

Very impressed with this Hotel. Large clean rooms, bathroom was spacious with a nice shower. Very comfortable beds.shopping and restaurants across the road. Breakfast included, a lot of variety to choose from.
