The manager told me I would be in one room and when I checked in it was filled so in the only other room available at the time the A/C and TV did not work, and there was no phone. Also they double charged me as did not recognize my payment through you. Then the clerk in the office said he could put me in a better room and when I went to it it was occupied.
Michigan State University is across the street from this property. So if you are attending a concert, play, or sporting event - this is a great location. MSU is a Big10 school so they always have something going on. Downtown Lansing is only 15 mins away and is the State's capitol.
We are Michigan State alumni, stayed at the TownPlace Suites by Marriott to be close to campus. The walking distance was fine (you have to plan on doing a lot of walking around if you visit here), with plenty of sidewalks for easy walking to campus. We ate at an old favorite, Bell's Pizza--it's just as good in 2016 as it was in 1976. Our only other meal was at Smokey Bones. Decent barbecue, good selection of local beers, and delicious cornbread.
We were there for a conference on infection control, East Lansing is a beautiful area, many nice places to eat. For a large college town Lansing has many museums and interesting projects at the college and planetarium.. for watching stars.
