The painted the walls but no art work or anything hanging on the walls but we thought it was still very comfortable and clean.

I love what they are doing with their revitalization projects in town. They have many startup businesses. They have several boutiques and galleries. and nice places to eat. They have 2 wineries, a brewery and distillery, which is unique to a Midwest town that started as a a "dry town". They have a lot of events going on almost every week. Kudos to their leadership and city development teams! "
This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Both times the room, staff and amenities are what we come to expect for our money. I only have one complaint with this facility- the parking spaces are terribly small. You really need to address this as you have been full of construction crew vehicles working in the area. That’s fantastic for the economy, may it continue!
We came for a disc golf theme vacation and Empora lived up to its reputation. Everything in Emporia is easy to get to. The town felt welcoming and we enjoyed a few of the excellent disc golf course in the area, including Swope Park - Cottonwood Falls, Kanza View - Council Grove, Clover Cliff Ranch, and of course, Emporia's own gem, Peter Pan Park. Dynamic Discs staff treated us well, as expected, at their flex tournaments and the store. Radius Brewing was another highlight with good ambience and great food.
Dont like being told one thing then now my sister being told she going to have pay extra if she contunues to check in earlier even though was told as long as there is a room ready then it was fine. Will be looking for a new hotel
nice small city with all that could be expected my favorite spot is Amanda's Café on Commercial street and Dairy Queen on sixth street. The streets of Emporia the run east west north south and if stay on main streets no problems getting around
Radius; the gastro pub had great food and beer for even better prices. Friendly staff. Dynamic Discs put on a great tournament at Peter Pan and the Jones Courses. Candlewood was nice, clean, comfortable and friendly. Friendly people and prices. I hear their water was voted the best in the Country. Beautiful. Clean. Safe. Children out fishing and disc golfing.
We were stranded in a snowstorm and didn't plan to stay there at all. We were just hoping to find a decent room at a decent price. I always expect La Quinta to be an acceptable property, but I wasn't sure what I'd find in such a small town. It looked a little old from the outside, but the room was clean and comfortable. It's difficult to find a really comfortable bed away from home, but the room was nice enough. And it was a fine value for the money. I'll stay there again if the need arises.
This was the best smelling motel room, with the most comfortable beds of all the hotels and motels we stayed in last year, and we were in one or the other for 3 months early last year, from Texas to Kansas, looking for a Home. Stayed at least 25 more nights throughout the year. If you're ever in Emporia. Don't judge this book by its cover. Cheapest rate in town too!
The hotel sits in a "village" of six hotels and nearby restaurants just off the I-35, which is both a bonus and a problem, since the local access road has a surprising amount of traffic that includes too many noisy vehicles. But there are two pizza restaurants within 50 m, and an IHOP about a block away.
I made reservations online 10 to 15 minutes before my wife checked in. I was charged 1 price on my card and then my wife was charged for the same reservations I would highly recommend to stay away from this hotel. It took more than 4 days to get a refund. I won’t go back.
I always try to stay at this hotel when I stay in Emporia. I like having a little kitchen as an amenity and the store to get food.
By far, one of the best hotels we stayed at during a long road trip. Very clean, friendly staff, and good breakfast.
