Breakfast was very good. The service people we met were engaging and friendly. The hotel and our room was clean, comfortable and stylish. The bathroom and shower facility were very functional and clean. Really liked the wall mounted bathing soaps etc. We traveled with another couple who were equally impressed as well.

Close to everything you need when traveling.

Close to everything you need when traveling. We were there just overnight for a family reunion in Acushnet. We had lunch at the party so when it was time for dinner, we had many options after the party was over. Church in New Bedford the next day at St Anthony of Padua where they offer several Sunday Masses in English. This was where my Canadian-French family celebrated many marriages and baptisms through the years. The faces of the statues are based on the founding families that built that church. I like to believe some of my family are represented there.

Fairhaven is a charming little town, with beautiful old homes and architecturally distinct public buildings. I am sure it offers a lot of sea-related activities and fun in the summer. Being there in March, its proximity to New Bedford, with its whaling museum, quaint cobblestone streets, and fabulous seafood restaurants, was what was important to us. In addition to the Whaling Museum, we took in a show at the newly renovated, very cool Zeiterion Theatre, visited the beautiful Rotch-Jones-Duff House, and enjoyed the waterfront. New Bedford police were very kind and helpful when we could not find our car after the Zeiterion show! Really looking forward to our next visit, and will stay at the Delano Homestead again for sure.

The room and hallways were musty smelling and the the room needs some care and maintenance. Our room security latch was missing and the back door swipe card mechanism was broken, leaving it open to anyone to enter. Due to renovations, breakfast was not being supplied with no gratuity or reduction in price. It was very difficult to find parking due to seasonal outside entertainment.

Highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast for the accommodations including a full breakfast. Lots of attention to details. Lots of history of the Delano house as well as the immediate area. Super comfortable king size bed. Internet worked great. We enjoyed the morning breakfast with guests from many different places across the 5 days we were there: from Belgium one morning, from South Carolina and Maine another morning, then from neighboring New Bedford. Guests choose their breakfast times for a relaxed morning. Paul as the innkeeper was a great source of information and recommendations of places to see and of where to dine; each place was a winner! He also helped with our bags to the car even as we departed at 6:am to drive to the Boston airport. Super Host! Liz as the hostess and cook for the morning breakfast and to help with any housekeeping issues was a delight. She also was a wealth of knowledge on the house and the area. We were warmly welcomed and felt at home the entire time.

Excellent, personable hosts in Paul and Tracey. Characterful property with fascinating history - such a contrast to the anodyne chain hotels. Good food. Plenty of on-road parking.
