Hotel in Falls Church
This hotel in Falls Church, Virginia is 7 miles from downtown Washington D.C. This hotel has a seasonal outdoor pool while the rooms include free Wi-Fi. Yes, the hotel could use renovation because it's clearly quite old, but it was clean and basic facilities were there. There was just nothing really bad about it (I mention a few negative things though). Nice addition was - surprisingly nice - free coffee in the morning. Location likely requires a car - it's a few mins by car to nearest subway station. Overall it was good value compared to prices in other hotels around DC, would likely stay there again.

All is well, but I feel it is very much aimed for business. It is convenient to all of the Washington DC area although traffic is not easy to get through at times. Arlington National burial grounds are a worth while trip to visit with great views of the DC area.
We went to Falls Church for a wedding and were delighted. So close to D.C. and the restaurants were great. Spent our days visiting D.C. and all of the beautiful monuments. While in Falls Church we walked a lot. Beautiful area. We did get out to Alexandria to visit and had dinner at a great place called, "Whiskey and Oyster" a must have! Lobster Rolls and Lobster bisque and the service was outstanding!
I have lived there for more than 20 years, it is a unique place with the benefit of city lives but not the over crowded stress and noises. It has become expensive over time, however still less expensive compare with other part of DC metro area. Close to Tysons corner, DC etc....
Breakfast is not buffet as advertised. It is not even a reasonable one even if it wasn't a buffet. Better assume there is no breakfast and that you will have to eat somewhere else. Pool was closed. We stayed before, the hotel used to deserve its score but changed hands and now below average for an hotel in its category. Better just skip to another one.
It was just a base for seeing Washington DC, so we spent very little time in Falls Church itself. It was OK as a place, and the public transport was reliable. But people were not nearly as friendly as Cleveland, New York and St Paul, for examples. We didn't visit any places in Falls Church apart from Bus Stops, Train Station and a Chinese Restaurant which was overpriced and brought us things we hadn't ordered. That was it.
The apartments provided are quite spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were a good size and the balcony provided a good vantage point of the area. However, our check-in key was not programmed when we arrived, the apartment that we were given was not the one that we booked and this was very much not okay with our group, and we had issues with the AC not cooling off the rooms.
Discovered bedbugs in my bed on day nine of 12. I had bite marks all over. I had thought it was a rash until I saw the bedbugs scurrying across the sheets. Hotel gave me another room and told me they were going to credit only one night out of twelve. That is not enough! However, when I checked out, I was charged full price. No credit. They threw my clothes in a dryer and shrunk them, ruining them. Hotel manager said he did his job. I am waiting to see if I am going to infest my home. I totally disagree.
Rich selection for breakfast - hot, healthy, fruits. Nice lounge and bar. Complimentary laundry and dryer for guests. Perfect location to explore DC, close to metro station with parking, also the hotel provides free shuttle. Convenient location to drive to Dulles airport (20-30min).
Location is good, very quiet and pretty convenient driving to DC, plus parking is free compared to at least $30-40 per day for hotels in or very close to DC area. Love the kitchen facility which made so easy to cook something we like, it's small but clean and convenient.
Great hotel in the heart of the City of Falls Church. Parking is a breeze and there is easy pedestrian access to just about everything you'd ever need for a comfy night's stay.
I was able to stay close enough to my son for the weekend. This met that need . The facilities were a basic hotel room. Trying to fill this in more.
