Beautiful white sand beaches, not too crowded and the area around the beach isn’t a gaudy tourist trap. No boardwalk filled with crap. Very family oriented and safe. Decorum and class haven’t been shoved aside for the masses like at more well known beaches. Moms won’t have to cover juniors eyes on the beach.

beach very nice. very poor city planning.
beach very nice. very poor city planning. The houses on the beach area all on Hwy A1A and very close to the VERY busy and noisy road. It is actually a dangerous road...too close to houses and people speed. the downtown was fun....great restaurants and the Amelia Island boat tour was great.

Like the location, not too crowded, traffic is good, lots of places to eat. Road biking and trails are a plus and love the downtown area and thrift and antique stores. Not overly commercial really feels like a residential area, not touristy.

We love the historic areas and the quaint downtown shopping.
We love the historic areas and the quaint downtown shopping. The beach is 5 minutes away and there is golf for anyone interested. Also, we took a boat trip from the harbour to Cumberland Island which was very informative. Fernandina has excellent restaurants too.

it has lots of historical information and things to check out the museum of natural history that is housed in an old jail thta has recently been redone just a little bit but its still authentic and they have a historian lead tour i think saturdays its worth checking out. if you are a person that likes to sample spirits there is a place called marlin\barrel that does tastings daily everything they provide you is made on site the vodka in particalar is super smooth and nice. for food you have to check out moon river pizza you think you know the best pizza just try theirs. lots of good shopping downtown. I know this will sound strange but there is a Walmart there that is not a super Walmart not a marketplace, but it is the size of a Walmart store when they first opened and it just takes me super far back to see what i grew up with to what i have now if you find this Walmart i highly recommend you go there for a time warp back to the 90's lol if you are into that.

Very good breakfast with options that changed slightly daily which was nice.
Good service by the staff.
Pool area was nice to swim and sit around in the evening before heading out. It was in the sun all day.
The tap water machine was broken at the hotel but the reception staff were on hand to give me bottled water instead.
The hotel is 10 minute walking from de beach, it has an excellent and big room (offers microwave, freezer..), very clean room and a standard breakfast (bagels, juice, waffles..). The gym was very good too!
We liked the "beach cottage" atmosphere, with the raised walkways to the cottages. Also, it feels more private than having to walk through a hotel/motel lobby.
