We love traveling to Fruita! Everything in town is close and easy to access. There is a walking and biking path within walking distance that leads to Loma in one direction and Palisade in the other. The Colorado National Monument, which is full of trails, is a short distance away. The pizza and beer is always amazing!
It was a clean room. Pillows were hard and small. They should replace the pillows. Did not like the bath room sink being in our room area like it was. No privacy for the user. Other hotels have the sink in the bathroom. We ate at the tapitio restaurant next door. A little pricey, but good food. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Our kids (10/9) are HUGE dinosaur fans— we participated in the Dinosaur Journey dig in mid June and had a blast. Of course, Colorado National Monument is about a mile out and was totally worth the time.
I've been mountain biking in Fruita for the last 25 years and the riding is fantastic! Besides mountain biking, Colorado National Monument is a heartbeat from downtown Fruita and it offers spectacular scenery, road biking and hiking. Grand Junction is nearby for even more mountain biking and hiking options as well as good restaurants and breweries. Don't miss out on the Hot Tomato for pizza; the Copper Club brewery for awesome beer and a nice open courtyard to soak up some rays and meet new people. Also, the Dragon Treasure Chinese restaurant has good food, a friendly staff and quick service.
We love visiting our son and his family in Fruita! We drive here from Chicago three or four times a year, and always enjoy exploring the area and doing new things. On this visit we visited the Fruita Library and Recreation Center, which we found to be amazing! We always hike in the Colorado National Monument several times a week. We love hanging out at the Copper Club, whether it's playing games or sitting on the patio with friends and family sipping beer, playing bags and listenings to the local musicians play their guitars. We walk to the coffee shops in town and visit the second hand store every time we come here as well. City Market is always stocked with the food items that we need! Overall, the local Fruitians (if that's acceptable) are very friendly and welcoming, considering there must be more visitors here every year!
Colorado National Monument is very beautiful and worth spending a full day, if you enjoy hiking. The drive is also very scenic, and there are numerous scenic view points, with short easy walks too. Good place to view wildlife, such as Big Horn Sheep, marmots, and a variety of birds. Dinosaur Hill was also interesting and worth a visit if time, There are no fosills or dinosaur prints, but the history was interesting, and views of the valley and Colorado National Monument were nice. A few sign posts were missing on the trail around the hill,
I was in town for a bike race and shipped my bike directly to the hotel. The staff was absolutely wonderful with helping me out with getting the bike. The front staff and the Assistant Manager (can’t remember his name) all wonderful, but the Assistant Manager just went out of his way to help out, really just a great guy. Thanks for making it a great event. Eric Miller
The house was well appointed. It was very spacious and comfortable. Getting in couldn't have been easier. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The garage was very spacious and easy to store bikes. The backyard space was nice. It was very easy to get to downtown Fruita, you could pretty easily bike there if you wanted to.
Room was very clean, and bed was very comfortable. Staff at front desk were very kind, welcoming and helpful. Easy to access location right off highway 70, just minutes from Colorado National Monument and close to airport in Grand Junction.
Really liked the spacious room layout, this felt like a much more expensive hotel room. Very friendly staff, clean property, and an amazing location for kids with the dinosaur museum right next door highly recommended!
Fruita
I liked the online check in process. The hotel is renovated and the rooms have a cool style and there was room for our mountain bikes. It was also close to town and convenient.
Very comfortable house, extremely close to the center of town. Felt like a part of Fruita!
Location was excellent for walking around Fruita.
