The customer service was great, very attentive. They even called us after settling in to ensure everything was ok, which is unheard of nowadays. My only complaint is the guy who helped us check-in said the county we live in is “trashy”. Flagler county is known to be a very good county so I think that was uncalled for. And even if it was, that’s not the way to make a customer feel welcomed. Specially since we weren’t even the ones who started the conversation, he saw our address on our driver’s license during check in. I thought it was a bit rude.

Great breakfast offerings. The area to dine and eat was good, the area to get the breakfast items was cramped and hard to navigate if more than 3 people were in the room. Otherwise impressive operation. The room was much bigger than expected and convenient to the lobby. The room smelled musty initially however it was fine once we moved around and aired out the room. The shower was great and the soaps that were offered were very good. The room and bed was very clean. Will recommend this hotel to others and will stay again.

Gainesville is falling apart.
Gainesville is falling apart. Once nice areas are getting too old and not being fixed up. Traffic is bad during busy times as roads are not big enough anymore. Too much crime in once nice neighborhoods now. There are plenty of overpriced restaurants and areas for college kids, not much else outside of sporting events at UF. If you want to Golf, go to Ocala. If you want the springs go to High Springs or Ocala. Northwest Gainesville is the safest with SW being a distant second and it is not recommended to stroll around the east-side at night.

Gainesville has beautiful tree lined streets and the University in the heart of it. The town is divided into four seccions, like Washington D.C., NW, NE, SW, SE so its easy to navigate. There are a lot of historic buildings there like the Episcopal Church on 1st Street. I like the neighborhood called "The Duckpond," its quaint and safe.

Love Gainesville! So much to do! The botanical gardens are lovely, and we loved 4th ave Food Park! YUM. Celebration Pointe is a nice area and Hana and Spurrier's are great restaurants. Definitely a foodie town. Piesano's is great for pizza and drinks. I wouldn't go back to Dragonfly Asian restaurant.

I was only there for the NHRA drag racing at the Gainesville track so didn't have time to see anything of Gainesville. But the Red Roof was very convenient for Gainesville Raceway, only 15 miles away so I would definitely return
The room was absolutely horrible. The carpet smells the moment you walk into the building right to my room. The floor was sticky and disgusting. TV and coffee machine does not work. Its dark and depressing. The fact they do not have housekeeping or charge for housekeeping only made it worse. I could not wait to get out. Easily the worst hotel I stayed in EVER and I have stayed in backpackers in South East Asia, this was by far worst
The staff was very friendly and our hotel room was quiet as our room was on the opposite side of the interstate. There was locks on the doors leading to the hallway which was nice. The house keeping lady was very nice and help resolve our missing towels and sheet issues.
