Loved that the Lodge is at the edge of the Gatlinburg chaos and is still walkable to dinner. We didn't have time to use it, but the outdoor pool setting was nice--especially for kiddos. All the staff were kind, personable, and helpful. Bonus, there's a trolly stop right outside the hotel

Sink is in the bedroom. Carpets too dark and dirty. No water to drink in the hotel unless you buy water bottles from them. No maps. Staff wasn't too keen to explain what was around and local area attractions.

This is our go to place to get away.

This is our go to place to get away. We live about 3 hours away so we go several times a year. Nothing bad to say, Crowds are always changing, but always something to do. If you do go more than once a year check out the season passes for Dollywood, The sky lift and more.

Gatlinburg is a very busy commercialized community.

Gatlinburg is a very busy commercialized community. I don’t might it all but if you are looking for a slower paced getaway but still want options for a quality food and entertainment then Seviereville might be a better option for you. If you like the over commercialized and crowded atmosphere then Gatlinburg is for you. I recommend staying on or just off the parkway to avoid needing to drive anywhere. Everything is within walk distance or you can take the trolly.

This is definitely not our kind of place to stay (even for one night) and that too right inside a national park. It is way too commercialized and meant apparently for families that want to do everything (e.g., restaurant food, drink, music and entertainment) other than enjoy the natural wonders of the national park itself. This is apparently the most popular national park by far, and if Gatlinburg is the reason why, then that's a shame. The national park actually is far, far better than the town of Gatlinburg.

    Too many things to mention.

Too many things to mention. Something for everyone. 99% of the businesses and attractions are ADA compliant and the staff is more than willing to help. Restaurants are good. Try the Trout House or No Way Jose's. We ate most of our meals in Pigeon Forge, which has a little bit of everything. Pancakes/flapjacks/waffles are served everywhere!

Loved Anakeesta - wish we would have went up sooner in our trip than we did. The views were amazing and the treetop skywalk was a lot of fun! The "strip" in Gatlinburg is crowded but has a lot of shops and places to eat - the ribs with blackberry sauce at Burg Steakhouse were phenomenal. The entrance to Great Smoky National Park was close by and the drive up to Caves Cove was very scenic. We also were able to drive to Pigeon Forge easily to go to some of the attractions there. Our vacation was very enjoyable and memorable! We would definitely go back in the future!

Gatlinburg is not for the elderly or persons having to walk. The trolly signs were not in plain sight...mainly covered by flowers and such. Parking not great. People should park at the aquarium for the day...cost effected. We did an escape room, Ripley's combo. We had a decent time.
