Located in the National Historic District of Georgetown, this 100% nonsmoking hotel is 10 minutes’ drive from Loveland Ski Area. A shared hot tub is available. The room was lovely with a fireplace and the view from the deck was spectacular. Breakfast was delivered right to our room. We left bose head phones in the room and the staff called us right away to let us know. We picked them up on our travel back through. Great place
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Georgetown Lake is located in Georgetown. Among the facilities at this property are a 24-hour front desk and room service, along with free WiFi throughout the... 1. I loved Hot tube. It was great after hiking 18 Miles & 12 h drive. This made my day. 2. The view at the mountain & open lake was fantastic. I do not want even mention that a joy was enhanced by the heater installed just under the small coach enabling to watch outside. 3. The local brewery is located just few steps away.
Located just 12 miles from Loveland Ski area off I-70, this charming Georgetown motel offers rooms and suites with cable TV and features an indoor heated swimming pool and outdoor hot tub. Our host was really nice and the hotel is well located, close to restaurant and in a beautiful town.
Clear Creek Retreat is located in Georgetown, and has a backyard deck with barbecue facilities. Guests staying at this holiday home have access to a fully equipped kitchen. WiFi is provided. Great location, just 15 minute drive from Loveland Ski Area. Cozy and very comfortable for our group of 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Owner very responsive, no complaints.
Located in Georgetown, 23 miles from Frisco, Clear Creek Inn has a bar and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with bathrobes, a hairdryer and hot tub. Well located to see historic Georgetown. Lovely room, spotlessly clean bathroom. Breakfast was very nice but expensive.
We liked Georgetown but the motel was not insulated well we heard all the noise on the street next to the room , plus the room had not been cleaned . food in the bed , floor in the bathroom was dirty & long dark on floor & in the bathtub , it just needed to be swept , but someone was lazy .
The front desk was too busy at check in and the lady working it overcharged by $800 for the dogs that were with me then it took 3 days to get this straightened out even though every one that I talked to said it would get straight in 1 day - wrong!!
The Georgetown Lodge is an excellent log rendition of the old Motor Courts. A little plain inside but very family affordable in this cool old mining town. A bit more upscale is the super comfortable (no backache beds) at the Hotel Chateau Chamonix. Not terribly expensive but absolutely awesome in decor, comfort, management and view. The Georgetown Loop is an excellent tourist railroad and, if your a buff, nothing like being pulled by an old Shay engine. The old 1880s downtown has some very neat old antique stores, rock shop and art galleries. My favorite place is the Stonehenge Art Gallery where you can buy pottery made in Colorado by local artists as opposed to being shipped in from China like most everywhere else I've been. As for food, I love the Happy Cooker Restaurant.
The access to the lodge was easy right off the highway. There are many things to look at around the town and within walking distance, there is also a nice visitor center..be sure to have a mask this is required to enter. If you want to take beautiful pictures, you will get them here.
I loved Georgetown! It was so nice and quiet. The people are so kind and welcoming. We did quite a bit of exploring in the town. It is the definition of a mountain town. It was a great getaway. Very relaxing atmosphere. And we loved that it was only 20 min away from Loveland Ski area!
Nice little mountain town only 12 miles from Loveland Ski resort, so if you are just planning on skiing Loveland, it's actually closer than Fraser, Dillon, or Silverthorne. It's also very easy to get to from Denver. The town has multiple good restaurant options as well as a few pubs/bars as well if you want to do that. Definitely a cheaper option than the other mountain towns in the area if you are looking to spend less on a ski trip.
This was a very cozy and cute little bed and breakfast that was perfect for our anniversary weekend. The shared areas were decorated beautifully for this classic house and had lots of historical pictures of the house and area. It is an old house so there is creaking and noise as guests move about but we had no issues with noise keeping us awake or bothering us. It was also great to have home cooked breakfast that was so much better than what you would get at even a nice hotel. We would absolutely stay here again!
We loved the rustic design of the rooms. The location was nice. And the staff was amazing. Bathroom was big for a hotel other than the mold on the ceiling and bottom of the shower curtain.
The location was so nice , there was alike behind the hotel which my husband lived , he caught four fishes ! The hotel also serves breakfast and it was phenomenal.
What would you expect from a "hotel" next to the freeway? Good wifi, clean rooms, parking included I don't recommend staying more than one night.
The house was beautiful in a great location, close to the lake and the little downtown area to shop and eat. Would definitely stay there again.
Nice boutique type hotel with European flavor. Kathy and Tom were super nice hosts
Super cool main area, private rooms were cozy with a modern feel.
