I went during October for a ghost tour at night. Was a fun experience. The following day we walked the sights of the battles and took a tour of the monuments. Lunch we at at a local historic place and the food was divine. Overall the trip was an excellent experience.
The parking was tight ...first come first serve. I have a handicap and can't walk far. To get one of the spaces at the Inn we had to cut our day short (return by 4 Pm) to get back early to get a parking spot. Likewise, the other parking spots were in a parking garage across the street. This was not the fault of the Inn ...just the way it was. Our bathroom had no heat ...the Innkeeper sent us a portable heater...it was a blessing. They were very responsive to our needs. The Inn is quaint and beautiful.
Absolutely loved it, other than getting a parking ticket on Sunday night in December because I thought with the holiday, parking would be free-its not! The people were great, the food was good, the town was festive and we loved it all. We were there for 3 days and saw Gettysburg museum, did a battlefield tour and a ghost tour and tried all of the local restaurants.
If you’re looking to get your fill of Rich American History Gettysburg is fantastic. If you’re looking for a fantastic meal to go along with it you’ll have to sit and wait 45 minutes to an hour for a table. However, if you’re ok with a beer and bar food- you’ll be happy.
We visit Gettysburg at least twice a year. We usually go to Lancaster and Amish country then stay in Gettysurg. There is a ton of interactive history to explore. Gettysurg has become quite the foodie town with many new pop up restaurants. One of the best kept secrets around Gettysburg is the wine trail and the old round house barn market. We love visiting Boyers vineyards and Adams County Vineyards. They both have scenic views. great food, wine and entertainment. If you like flea markets take a quick 20 minute ride up to Williams Grove on Sundays. It's huge!
Loved the history involved. Nothing comes to mind as far as negatives, though the suggested couple hours for the museum as well as 2-3 hours for the self guided tour is not even close to enough time to take it all in.
The location was good and close to Gettysburg National Park. The Hotel was good. We walked into the Hotel Aspire first and thought how beautiful it was inside then we were told to drive around the back of the hotel to get to our room in the Eisenhower Hotel. It was scary at first but then we were told that the hotel is under renovation. Our room was clean and comfortable. We only met 2 employees and both were very nice.
When we arrived we had a very nice conversation with three ladies that were working behind the front desk. The pool and hot tub were open. Best of all, we had a hot breakfast and had a number of choices at breakfast. (we were at a Hampton Inn in Ohio in July and had the same b-fast everyday of a orange, b-fast bar and warm bottle of water in a brown bag). The ladies serving the b-fast were very nice.
Gettysburg
Exceptional B&B in a perfect Gettysburg location. Friendly owners who overstocked kitchen and room with amenities, towels and eye-catching art and collectibles. Think of the perfect B&B experience, then come stay here. You’d be hard-pressed to find anything that was missing. Free parking in rear, spacious rooms, perfect location, kitchen, decor, all excellent.
Gettysburg
This place is awesome. It’s not a fancy hotel, but is a step back in time. The location is a quiet area, yet very convenient. The staff was awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean as well as the outside property. We plan to make more trips to Gettysburg and will for certain stay at this motel.
I've stayed at several questionable hotels this year. My budget was low so I expected a similar experience but I was pleasantly surprised of the cleanliness of this room. I highly recommend this hotel for the person who doesnt want to spend a fortune, but wants a room you feel safe walking in barefoot!
Very comfortable, convenient room on the 2nd floor right at the elevator and stairs. The breakfast was quite substantial, hot and tasty, with plenty of other things available. The hotel was quite conveniently placed, just a short ride to the Gettysburg National Battlefield Park and downtown Gettysburg.
The breakfast was good and the area extremely clean. We were able to enjoyably sit and eat. Ideally it would be lovely to be located in historical Gettysburg, but the location really didn't make a difference on my opinion.
I liked everything in this hotel, mostly the staff people and location It has the best location in Gettysburg, walking distance from shopping, restaurants. The hotel vibe goes along with Gettysburg vibe
Gettysburg
Everything was fantastic!!! This is a wonderful B and B The room was perfect as the king bed The entire staff was great and the breakfast was heavenly A perfect place to stay in Gettysburg
The location was perfect as we were visiting the Gettysburg battlefield and downtown the hotel was very close to both. The Hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was exactly what was needed.
The hotel is located really close to the Gettysburg Outlets and a very short drive away from the center of Gettysburg.
It's such a unique building and they did a lovely job renovating it from a schoolhouse to a beautiful hotel.
This hotel is exceptional in comfort, decor, amenities and location. Only 3 miles to Gettysburg.
