Set in Gilford, New Hampshire, Gunstock Inn & Resort has a fitness center. Gunstock Mountain is just 2625 feet away. Very nice, friendly atmosphere; beautiful view of the lake from the balcony of the common room (unfortunately, our room’s window faced the parking lot); super clean bathroom and room, good air conditioning in the room - everything adds up to create a positive travel experience.

Set in Gilford, Belknap Point Inn provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. All rooms boast a TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. The property offers mountain views and a sun terrace. The Belknap Point Inn is really a gem at Lake Winnipesaukee. We got lake side rooms, and the rooms were very nice and the beds are super comfortable. The view right outside of the room is spectacular anytime of the day. A few steps from our door is the hotel's pier, and we could just jump into the lake and swim. The hotel also has kayaks, canoes and other water equipment that you can use. So you can just stay at the hotel and enjoy the pleasures of Lake Winnipesaukee. Anthony, who is the hotel manager was great, friendly and super helpful. A great small hotel operated by people with real heart and soul, you will never find anything like this at a larger hotel. Would go back over and over again if I could. I HIGHLY recommend the Belknap Point Inn to anyone :-) .

We only visited for a short ski trip, so we really did not roam the town. It was our first trip to Gunstock, which was an incredible ski mountain. We definitely will return and most likely make it one of our favorite places to ski.
Patrick's Irish Pub for dinner and Beans and Greens Market for homemade baked goods, fresh produce and a Corn Maze in the Fall. Excellent place for small children to play with interactive activities.
Gilford was pretty if you want to hike, fish or otherwise engage with nature. The lack of sales tax make it a good shopping spot with two big outlets 20 and 40 mins away. As to the hotels: you will need to pay close attn to the reviews. "laid back" can mean lazy and inattentive; "rustic" or "rural" can mean dirty and smelly. Although everyone was met was pleasant and personable I can't say I would stay in Gilford again. I would look for something more urban where the hospitality employees understand cleanliness and service
Gilford is a delightful town with many great places to eat and stay. We came up this weekend to attend the Music of Queen concert at the Pavillion. Great show with easy access and parking and late night dining options in Gilford and close-by Laconia. Will definitely return soon!
My wife and I definitely loved the location. It was quiet, relaxing. It was our first time there, a short mini trip. Loved the location because it was not far from the music venue we were attending. It would of been nice if the Inn had some outdoor games like corn hole, a really fun game. The Belknap Point Inn we stayed in last year had this game a lot of tourist fun, maybe some horseshoes? All in all definitely a nice place to venture out to. Planning to go back, a little longer this time. We also Loves the Steakhouse Restraunt next door, very convenient. Prices very reasonable, portions just right ! Love the smoke flavor menu that they offer.
There is only one word, to sum up, Gilford and that is beautiful. The Scenery is gorgeous and it looks like the mountains come down and kiss the lakes. Bring your motorcycle and take a ride on the back roads to soak up the fresh air and mother nature. When you get tired of boating, swimming, hiking, biking, or riding, you can go shopping at one of the many shopping plazas nearby. Also, there is a concert venue that is gorgeous with a top-notch sound system and voted one of the best in the country. This summer (2019) there will be many top country and rock bands coming to this venue. (Written by James' wife :) )

The location was easy to get to on our travels. The room was charming and the restaurant attached served great steaks.
