We were there to see the Travelers Championship PGA tour golf event. This suburb area was only 15 minutes from the River Highlands and has a country feel and a secluded rural atmosphere even though it is minutes from downtown Hartford. It has an upscale shopping mall tastefully blended (hidden) right in the business park area we stayed. Restaurants ( Max Fish and Max Amore) were top notch and catered to knowledgeable travelers and locals alike.
There are great restaurants and shopping in Glastonbury. Manchester, Hartford and West Hartford offer the same within a short drive. Many parks within the Hartford area. Glastonbury is clean and beautiful.
My room had a small kitchen with very basic pots and pans, but lacked items such as bowls, The carpet by the table was torn and pulled up. It almost looked like an animal chewed it. (It is a dog friendly hotel) Tripping hazard! The bathroom had a beautiful soaking tub that fits two people & a separate glass shower. The bathroom was spotless. I stayed on the 6th floor, the corridor had a strong spicy cooking smell. I paid $160.00 for a Thursday night , which I found extremely high considering the hotel is not located near any major attraction , but it was a last minute reservation. The hotel is about a ten minute walk to many excellent stores and places to eat. The gentleman who checked me in was very pleasant and polite. He informed me of the free breakfast and dinner buffet.
“Bed was super comfortable. Accommodations were lovely. Hotel was quiet and conducive for relaxation. Location was great as it was close to Hartford without the chaos of the city.”
“I liked the environment in the hotel. The staff was very friendly and greet you as you walked by”
“I love the hotel altogether everything was nice”
“Everything was perfect, the ambiance, the Innkeepers, and the homemade breakfast. The suite of rooms we had and the common areas were homey, comfortable, and inviting. The whole inn is spectacular inside and out. The location is perfect. Glastonbury is quintessential New England, founded in the 1600's and full of beautiful, historic homes and steepled churches. I haven't relaxed like that in a long time.”
“Nothing else needed. One of the best hotel experienced we have ever had!”
“The Inn was a beautiful restored "New England" home. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and served in a very relaxed manner.”
