This was extremely clean and comfortable! It’s an older town so an older hotel but the staff was so sweet and the room was clean. The bed was outrageously comfortable - both my hubby and I struggle with sleep but we both had the best nights sleep! I’m a neat freak and the bathroom was spotless. Quiet hotel too. Small warning - the parking is tight so park with caution and I did have a smoker next door who apparently couldn’t read the “no smoking on deck” sign but we just let it slide so we could focus on the nice accommodations and positives. Definitely stay here again!
Great views and areas to hike. The lakeside beach was busy.
Great views and areas to hike. The lakeside beach was busy. Boats can be rented, but best to book those before your trip, they book fast! The old boardwalk area is amazing. The shop keeps are very proud of their community and it shows. Be sure to check out the art galleries and jewelers for some truly original work.

Grand Lake is a quaint lakeside town with nice restaurants and shops. We rented a boat and paddled in the lake. The drive to Rocky Mountain National Park was quick and easy. We split our time between the lake/town and the Park. Made for a very nice relaxing 4 day trip.

Grand Lake is a hidden gem for hikers, and boaters. During peak summer season, the motor boats can be a bit much. GL has some great restaurants with yummy food from pizza to 5 star dining. It is also great for young kids they would love the mini golf,go carts and playing at the beach

We certainly enjoyed the Creekside atmosphere most with the river right behind the unit that we could see in here all evening and all day. How relaxing. With only a 3 to 5 minute walk to town lake, it made it easy to not have to drive and look for parking places. There were a wide variety of coffee shops, and restaurants to choose from while in town. we are also right down the road from several trailhead one that we walked to as well. We recommend us for a relaxing stay.

Grand Lake is a small town.
Grand Lake is a small town. Main street is about 6-7 blocks long. Filled with stores, restaurants and fun things to do. In the summertime, they have bingo in the main square outside. It's a blast, and great for families. On Saturdays they have a pancake breakfast. Can't get much better. If you're lucky you'll spot moose....sometime in town. OMG. Plus it sits at the entry of Rocky Mountain Park. Nature beyond compare.....just Wow.

Grand Lake is one of those locations that is a natural lake, not manmade. It has the raised wooden boardwalks in the original areas of the town. It is a perfect place to stay for a week, if you have the time. As a teenager, I fell in love with it -- riding bicycles, playing mini-golf, taking boat rides, hiking to the fire lookout tower or Adams Falls. In the summer there is a stable for rides.
Like everywhere else, it is being loved to death and gets crowded in the summer. There is a yacht club with regattas and a 4th of July fireworks. The town theater has movies, plays, and musical events. AND, Rocky Mountain National Park's west entrance is just 5 minutes away.
The location is the strongest point - we LOVED walking to the beach and also being able to walk to all of the good restaurants. Parking can be a hassle in Grand Lake and it was nice not to worry about it. It is also a view you can’t beat - absolutely gorgeous!!!
