I love the close proximity to town, we were only 3 minutes away. I also really like Neil, who was helping with the priority while the owners were gone. He is really funny and very nice and I enjoyed our conversations. I absolutely loved the friendly kitty that greeted me every day. I missed my kitties so I was happy to give this kitty my love (and food and water). Bring kitty food if you go ;) AC and fridge is a plus

Danny, the homeowner, was incredibly kind and attentive, making our stay feel truly welcoming. We especially appreciated the chance to spend time with his lovely dog, Reef—such a special touch that made the experience even more memorable. The location is simply dreamy, nestled in a quiet local neighborhood away from the busy commercial areas of Honolulu, which we truly valued. It offered a peaceful and authentic atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. The studio itself was spotless, well-organized, and very comfortable, with everything we needed thoughtfully provided. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene and well-cared-for retreat.

This is THE town to be in if you're looking to stay on North Shore. The town itself is adorable, all mom & pop establishments from the local retail stores to the restaurants, with the exception of 1 mcdonalds and 1 starbucks way out at the edge of town. So it feels very local and special, also has a slight hippie & surfer vibe. There is a great tidepooling/snorkeling area (next to Three Tables) almost next door to the apartment where I stayed, and slightly farther (still walkable) is the most popular big beautiful sandy beach Waimea Bay (famous for the giant waves in the winter; a regular beautiful cove in the summer). Do google the Silos with some great local businesses (coffee, yoga, pottery, tattoos, etc.) where the old sugar cane factory used to be. Do try all the food trucks! Do look for the mexican restaurant near The Silos. Do look for the family run sandwich/smoothie shop Waialua Bakery & Juice Bar that brings all their ingredients from their local farm! The north shore has a 180 degree different vibe from Honolulu/Waikiki, which is all high-rise condos and traffic and high end but generic shopping you can get anywhere (feels like Vegas). I did not like Honolulu at all, but I LOVED Haleiwa.

The location is walking distance to several beaches, a grocery store and shrimp trucks. Locals and fellow renters very friendly. Facility has 4 bedrooms for a large family with kids. Everything worked well and was very quiet. You’ll love it too.

I love the North Shore. I love it in the summertime.

I love the North Shore. I love it in the summertime. I have visited in the winter months; however, I prefer the ocean calmer and warmer, so summer is perfect. Winter is also rainy season- I feel like many people don't realize this or research this. The ocean on the North Shore may have big waves in the winter months, too. That is pretty awesome to watch. Some of my favorite beaches are Three Tables, Waimea Bay, and Sunset Beach. I love to snorkel at Three Tables. Some favorite places to eat are Cholos in Haleiwa for Mexican food. I love Banzai Bowls for Acai bowls, the Sunset location is my favorite. Across from Dole plantation-- (still owned by Dole) they were selling $3 pineapples, which was pretty sweet!!! We love all of the food trucks! Ted's bakery is great. We love getting coffee and breakfast sandwiches from there. It's awesome if you're staying along the bike path and you can walk or ride a bike there. Having a car is key; there is so much to see and explore all over Oahu.

Very laid back and chill. NOT Honolulu!!

Very laid back and chill. NOT Honolulu!! We were actually right near Waimea Bay going to Haleiwa was like going to the big city. Would be happy to visit here again. Beaches superb and not crowded (late April). Lots of activities, most especially swimming with sharks (One Ocean Diving). Some nice walks in the hills, too. Another great nearby option is glider planing (Above and Beyond).

Haleiwa is a short drive from the property. The beach we visited was very nice, plenty of shade for those who need it. We saw several turtles in the bay and watched the surfers. The town is perfect for strolling thru small shops, art galleries and cafe's.

Great little town with some really great shopping and restaurants, from kid friendly to romantic- all with great food and drinks. Beaches were beautiful and there were plenty depending on if you wanted to hang with locals or be somewhere a little more remote.
