We stayed in a two bedroom suite facing the ocean and woke up to rainbows every morning! The hotel itself is in the best location in Waikiki and we appreciated proximity to all the luxury shops, restaurants and beaches. The D tower is close to a little market downstairs which was really helpful and Dean & Deluca provided some great caffeine fix. We also enjoyed the pool -- my 3 yr old niece made some very special memories learning to swim there. The property is sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and very secure with tons of helpful staff at the valet desk which was great for shopping/parking. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need, and while we ate out for the most part, it was really great to cook sometimes and do the laundry as we stayed over a week. The suite was very comfortable for our family of 4 adults and 1 kid, and the quality of service was exceptional throughout our stay. From the cleaning staff to bell men to front desk, every single hotel staff we encountered remained courteous, quick and kind. In particular the concierge team, Jordan and Aiko, went above and beyond their ways to make our stay so special for my sister's wedding and I am so grateful for all their help before, during and after our stay. My mom loved the view and ambience of La Vie restaurant for breakfasts and we enjoyed Friday fireworks twice during our stay, once from the Italian restaurant on site and also from our suite. It is as good as it gets in Waikiki when you have such a luxurious, calm and peaceful home base, especially for a family visit. I also stayed at Kahala resorts before my family arrived and still think that the Ritz was the best choice for the family to spend time together. As someone who spends more time at 5 star hotels than my own home, the quality of the staff and service really stood out for me for this property and I look forward to going back❤️🌈

Great amenities! Each room had a rice cooker, kettle, microwave, full fridge, coffee maker. The most impressive was the washlet ! We had the 1 bedroom suite with 2 doubles and a sofa bed and found it was spacious enough for 6 people. Rooftop and owners' lounge were great! It was perfect for a big family as we got space to hang out. All the staff were exceptional ! Especially Richard!

The incredibly friendly staff are the best thing about the hotel. They are simply amazing! The hotel is on the outskirts of Waikiki, so you have easy access to other communities/parts of the island, and you are not in tourist central. Staff held our bags after we checked out, and there is even a free shower service when you return (we didn't use). They also provided an umbrella. I would recommend the hotel wholeheartedly.

Good beds, big terrace (seems they are that big only on 1st floor), great guest service, was able to leave our baggage in hotel after our checkout so we can go to the beach and then come back for our things. Everything was really great!

There wasn't anything that we didn't like, it has such a relaxed vibe, everyone we met was so nice and helpful and the history and culture is fascinating We particularly enjoyed the guided bus tour around the island of Oahu, the guide was so knowledgeable which made it all the more enjoyable. There really is something for everyone..surfing, snorkeling, hiking, horseriding, boat trips or, just relax and enjoy the vibe while strolling along the beach front. For the shoppers amongst us, there's various malls, our favourite was The International Shopping Market which plays host to over 100 shops and eateries. When it comes to eating, you'll be spoilt for choice, everything from fresh local foods to your favourite burger. Hawaii really is a slice of paradise.

i did not do my homework about HOnolulu before i arrived. That was a mistake, i should have. Waikiki is busty and from i can see the police are very active, meaning to me the city could be unsafe to travelers.

The local people are genuinely a compassionate, respectful people with high regard for their family and elders. Honolulu is an island with massive growth and small infrastructure that can not keep up with the explosion of Corporate growth! A small tropical storm brings those highly populated, huge hotels to their knees & crippling the guests, imagine the impact this has on those that live here! The locals are finding it difficult to make ends meet, because the tourism has pushed costs up drastically. The geographics changing constantly struggling to keep up with the demand. We appreciated those locals that made our trip memorable, and can see the Big Corporate hotels looking the part, but take away the local feel and vibe of the surroundings. The money grab, tourist trap that lacks compassion, empathy and respect for their guests.

Visited Honolulu, beach area Waikiki and Fort DeRussy and this was above expectations. Very nice and clean area, with friendly people. Expensive brand shops, and only ABC stores for groceries. Many great restaurants, with excellent food. The Waikiki beach was growded, but very nice. Good oprtunities for sufring, and rentals. The waves on the beach was better than expected. At least for a beginner like me. Enjoyed our stay at Honolulu very much.

Honolulu was great, literally the only negative was the traffic, but you will get that in any major metropolitan area. Every restaurant, shop, airport, and hotel staff members we dealt with were friendly.

This was my second stay at the hotel - I was there in 2023...

This was my second stay at the hotel - I was there in 2023 for a Symposium at the local conference center. I enjoyed my stay then, so I decided to call in for a night on my return trip from Australia and Japan. The restaurant on the top floor was as good as I remembered it!

The absolute BEST location on Waikiki Beach!! We LOVE everything about this property and stay here in december every year!! Such a pleasure to stay here right on the beach. Absolutely love the hotel in December decorated beautifully for Christmas! The Coffee shop right next to the entrance is a real gem. The dining restuarants in the hotel are next level amazing too!! Dining next to the beach with the pool is just fabulous!!

This hotel is expensive, very expensive, but the room is so clean and the facilities amazing that I really felt it was worth it. If you are someone, like myself, who likes extreme cleanliness, I would say this is for you. Location is central, in the heart of Waikiki, so you can walk easily to the beach, if you are a beach person. All in all, if I'll ever come back to Hawaii, this is def the place I would stay again.

Very central to everything but away from the flashy built up end of Waikiki Beach. Opposite the ocean pool which was super handy . The restaurant here is the best we ate at during our time in Hawaii - we ate there many times. Rooms super comfortable, large and beds amazingly comfy.
