Located 5.6 mi from Whitecap Mountain Ski in Ironwood, Cedars Motel is located on the south shore of Lake Superior in Michigan and features an outdoor seating area with a fire pit and picnic tables. The room was clean beyond clean! The location was so quiet. Very safe for a solo female traveler.
Offering free WiFi and a cable TV in every room, this Ironwood motel is located less than 20 minutes’ drive from Porcupine Mountains State Park in the North Woods of Michigan’s upper peninsula. Nice clean comfortable room, located close to all the places I wanted to visit.

ROKU in the room, you wont run out of tv options! A/C was good and cold, beds were a little worn, but they were comfortable and the bedding was really comfy.
Located off Highway 2, the Rodeway Inn is just 5.8 miles from Big Powderhorn Mountain Ski Area. It features a daily continental breakfast and offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and a cable TV. They made sure we had first floor and a recliner which was very important for my disabled husband and I
The 100 percent nonsmoking Quality Inn Ironwood is located on the western end of Michigan's Upper Peninsula and within one mile of the Wisconsin border. Hurley was a pretty cool little town once you look past all the strip clubs and closed down businesses in the old downtown. All of the people we encounter from the gas station to the grocery store to the front desk staff at the hotel, were all super friendly and nice to talk to. Even if the room at our hotel in the Econo Lodge was less than great, it was as expected for the price and ok for us since it was just adults. Would recommend looking into paying a bit more for a nicer room in a hotel with a pool if you bring the kids. Central to a lot of different outdoor activities near Ironwood and Bessemer too. Close to skiing, snowmobiling trails, waterfall hiking, snowshoeing, ect. The restaurant we went to in the little downtown called the Iron Nugget was spectacular all around, would go back just to hang out there again. Great service, amazing food with HUGE portions at a reasonable price. A decent craft beer selection and what looked like a little start up brewery operation in their main space.
Absolutely beautiful. The water falls and rocks are gorgeous. The lakes are clean and clear. People are friendly. Little girls point was definitely the most beautiful, not too crowded spot. A little off the beaten trail but there was camping available, a play ground, pavillions, a beach that seemed never ending, and the clearest water ever.
We are older 'yuppers' who returned home for the 4th of July and our Wakefield High School 60th class reunion. Hurley looked great! It was clean and looked proud of itself. The Liberty Bell still is the best place to eat and the Inn was in the perfect location to enjoy the fireworks.
