Didn't actually spend much time in Hutto proper, except to eat at The Texas Cafe, which was a funky, old-timey kind of diner. Oh, and the golf at Star Ranch was both accessible and enjoyable.
Another spot, Taylor (one small town over) did catch our attention: lots of history. A number of heritage buildings and neat older homes in a concentrated area of town made it an interesting spot to explore on foot. Fun to to check out if one likes that kind of things.
The Cele Store was another treat: kind of in the back of beyond, but worth the time to find it if one likes bbq served up plain and simple in a locale loaded with character.
