we loved shopping all the shops and at Oak Ridge Furniture...

we loved shopping all the shops and at Oak Ridge Furniture store . Everything is made by hand by James and his crew. The workmanship is the best. Winter is not the best time to visit for most. as a lot of the shops were closed , but the Gingerich Dutch Pantry Restaurant and bakery were great. We also had lunch at Country Cupboard restaurant and it was very good as well as great service. We we got a late start for dinner on friday night and ended up eating at the Tavern , The food was ok, Soft drinks were by the can , and it was not non smoking and quite loud , but we were not there very long. The all you could eat buffet breakfast at Gingerich Dutch Pantry was to die for . The best 9.99 i ever spent . It was odd that many of the stores we went to put a surcharge on your ticket if you used a credit card. 3% plus. There is a ATM on the main crossroads in a corner building. Restrooms are also a problem Everyone is directed to the City Hall office to use theirs . The one in our hotel was so close to the wall you could not use it if you were not standing up , The Tavern even worse , but Gingerich at least was ADA compliant . The town did have some of the best Antique shopping anywhere i have ever been . The Farmhouse Collection upstairs was all Christmas and really nice.
