Kaneohe
Located on Kaneohe Bay, the Paradise Bay Resort offers views of the Koolau Mountain Range an outdoor pool, and a hot tub. This is bay paradise in the jungle. We loved our apartment - with separate bedroom, kitchen and great balcony. WE appreciated quiet area, more wild than south of the island, more calm, and for sure closer to nature. Staff was friendly We liked the pool and jacuzzi

This town is the best. Everyone was sweet. Not too far a drive from anywhere. But would need a rental car. Byodo-In Temple, Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens, and Ka'a'awa Beach Park were amazing! Close to Jurassic Park too which was cool to drive by.
Kaneohe was beautiful, the beaches, everything…I have nothing negative to say..I wish I could have stayed longer.. best beach was Lanakai.. Kualoa ranch is a must see thing to do..you definitely need to rent a car..one of my sons favorite things was Dole pineapple whip and Dole plantation…great poke everywhere!!
Will be back! Paddle boarding perfection to sandbar-though ideally would get for several hours vs 1.5 hour limit-then could visit island more. $25 charge but so much better than boat tour or kayak to see sandbar. Amazing hikes wi a few miles.
Kaneohe is a great little town, where my cousin lives and has a business (Oeno Wine making) The beaches are so nice, there are many places to fish, there are good stores, and Kareoke! (Which is fun for me when I'm on Vaca!)
Kaneohe Bay is unique in that there is a reef out from shore that keeps the surf out. What you have is a large coral reef and sand bar that is perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling and enjoying the many sea turtles. Kaneohe has very few hotels and is remote. I found the town although small to have way too much traffic. Upon arriving we wanted to get a coffee but the traffic was snarled everywhere we turned. This may be because of the large Marine Corp presence on the local base. Restaurants are mostly local Hawaiian style food. But we enjoyed that and the homey feel of the windward side of the island. If there were many resorts it just wouldn't be the same.
Kaneohe is an awesome township and with the bay across to the Naval Base and the hills behind the township were amazing too. The shopping was magnificent, so take lots of money for fresh tropical fruits, food, footwear or clothing. Whatever you're seeking you will definitely find it here in Kaneohe. We also had the rehearsal dinner on Waikiki Beach which isn't too far from Kaneohe. We would love to come back... Mahalo Kaneohe
Kaneohe
Probably the best location on the bay. Free kayaks, with inconvenient reservation process were a welcomed amenity. Kitchenettes also a plus. Personable & polite staff, but had to be prompted to give information and sometimes omitted the important information. Accessing the units would be difficult for those who are not physically fit.
