Very much liked the ocean front, attractions, and pleasing environs! Visited the awesome Seashore Trolley Museum and biked on the super old Eastern Railroad Trail. Just a nice, pleasing area to visit!
Gorgeous Oceanside community with a plethora of quality local shops, including art galleries. There are many lovely walks to enjoy on the ocean, the river or in the salt marsh refuge. Enjoy the site of the ocean or the architecture and charming landscapes of the surrounding community. Guarantee you’ll pick up a real estate book or login to Zillow. Make sure to get your parking permit at the beach kiosks by 10 AM, to be assured of a limited parking spot. You can park and be in your beach chair within 5 minutes(accessible/easy). Clam Shack a local favorite with a loaded lobster lobster roll. Lines were long, but worth the wait at a decent rate.Local breweries add interest to dining options.
Town almost completely deserted during our off season visit and very difficult to find late night dining options. All due to COVID. Love the town no matter. Make sure you visit when Bentley’s is open. Multiple live music stages, bras hanging everywhere from the ceiling and ladies riding the pig. A must visit !!!
I lived in Kennebunk for 14 years and it is s nice town, but I never knew exactly what all the fuss was about. Towns further up the coast are more picturesque in my opinion. It can be quite crowded during the summer. Still, I’ve learned some local spots that are more hidden and very special.
The town itself is very pretty and the hotel I stayed at was awesome! I didn’t spend much time in the actual town of Kennebunk though as I had things to do in other areas, so I don’t have much to say about the area here as I didn’t experience it.
Very old and quiet town. Not much going on in town. Don’t expect vibrant night life unless you head to Kennebunkport. Locals are retirees and older. Nothing for the younger crowd. If you are looking for a very relax and quiet town with nothing much happening this is tour place. For dining experience you have to drive to nearby Kennebunkport and Visit the local bars and restaurants.
The manager (very nice guy) is working hard to make this place a success and is doing a good job, the parking lot was full during the 2 days we stayed. It’s a good deal, in an area that is quite expensive overall. Grab and go breakfast was ok, good to have one. Other hotels do not even bother and use the pandemic as an excuse to cancel breakfast. We liked being able to use the parking permit for the beach in Kennebunkport - available at the reception upon request
Kennebunk
We got a deal. Little cabin with separate bedroom. Kitchen has full size frig, micro wave and stove top. There is a sofa, table and chairs. Each cabin has a picnic table and charcoal grill. Very clean and well maintained. Close to Kennebunk Beaches and MIke's Clam Shack in Wells.
Kennebunk
Everything, from the warm welcome at the check-in to the friendly check-out, the cleanliness and confort of our room and the excellent breakfast. This charming boutique hotel has a great position, close enough to the highway and to the sea shore, but nested in a quiet neighborhood.
The property was beautiful. Close to beaches close to kennebunkport and restaurants. A 30 minute ride into Portland and so much to offer. The staff was wonderful. I can’t say enough about them, they answered all my questions and they were extremely friendly!
