Located on the southern tip of Kauai Island, Koloa Landing At Poipu Beach features 2 resort-style pools and a state-of-the-art fitness center. This was my second stay at Koloa Landing, albeit under very different circumstances. The staff was fabulous as always — gracious about letting us stay well past our check out time to watch the election results. The food at the Holoholo Grill is seriously good food. You won’t be disappointed there. Great location, clean, well maintained. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else on the island!

This 22-acre property is located at the ocean’s edge on Kauai’s sun coast. It has views of Shipwreck Beach and Keoneloa Bay, as well as a large outdoor pool. Stunning location. Unit was VERY large the only fault we could find was the pool was totally shallow eg no more than a metre deep - a little weird I would definitely stay there again! Poolside pool and bar was brilliant. Views - we could see turtles, whales and even a beached MONK seal resting.

this is a family friendly place with access to beaches and shops and easy to get around by car. for me without a car and being on my own it may not have been the perfect location, yet it was beautiful and I found my way around. I did not know about the shuttle bus until the last day. I like walking so I found what I needed that way.
Koloa is beautiful. The ocean is close by and Koloa town is surrounded by the lush vegetation that is typical of Kauai. Koloa includes the Tree Tunnel and a small shopping center with a grocery store that is across from the site of the first sugar plantation in Hawai'i. We went to The Beach House and Brennecke's restaurants (both of which may actually be in nearby Po'ipu). Both were super and have great food! Brennecke's is a bit more laid back with very friendly and helpful staff and a great view of Po'ipu Beach Park and Brennecke Beach with a peek-a-boo view of the setting sun. At The Beach House you have a direct view of the sun in the afternoon, good service, excellent food, and higher prices. The picture below was taken at The Beach House in the evening. We had a car for getting around, and GPS makes navigating a breeze. There are a couple of beaches suitable for families with kids near Po'ipu and Koloa though some beaches have dangerous currents and rip tides, so you do have to check first.
Such a beautiful place to visit. Easy walking distance to beaches but do need a car to visit sites. Brennekes bar and restaurant was delicious. Old Koloa town was worth a visit. The snorkelling surfing, and sunsets were amazing.
We enjoyed hiking along the top of the lithified along the ocean but it is four miles each way if you go the full distance. Great for photos! Also greatly enjoyed seeing sea turtles on Poi pu beach. Friday night in Hanapepe was fun with vendors on the streets. The snorkeling tour was great for beginners.
Koloa Landing was truly amazing. I spent 8 days there in one of their Villas with my mom and sister and we wanted to move in! The staff went above and beyond to accomadate our every need, the location was quiet and peaceful, close to nice beaches, restaurants and shops, and sparkling clean! We will definitely be back!
We explored most of the island and it is beautiful. We had a fantastic family vacation!!!! However, we were stuck on one part of the island. The one lane bridge leaving Hanalei was damaged during last winters storm and it was being repaired/shut down. We missed the sign stating that the bridge was going to be shut down and no car traffic permitted across after 7:30pm! We tried to leave that portion of the island (arrived after sunset!! 7:45pm) and were told to sleep in our car that the bridge would reopen the next day at 5:30am!! We left our car and walked over the bridge. We walked a couple more miles to a small market area trying to get a Lyft or Uber to pick us up with no luck... no one wants to take people to their hotel which is an hour away at 11:00pm (Hanalei to Poipu). I contacted our car rental company and after waiting another hour we finally got a Lyft driver to take us to our hotel room!!! Thank you Budget Car Rental :). We had no idea that we were going to be stuck on one portion of the island without access to food, water and hotel !! Aloha. That being said we love Kauai and grateful that we had the best family vacation and I would definitely go back to visit. Mahalo!!
Stunning location. Unit was VERY large the only fault we could find was the pool was totally shallow eg no more than a metre deep - a little weird I would definitely stay there again! Poolside pool and bar was brilliant. Views - we could see turtles, whales and even a beached MONK seal resting.
I loved everything about Kiahuna!!! The kitchenette was very comfortable and there was absolutely everything we needed. The louvers allowed the breeze to come in all day long and therefore the apartment was very cool. It really had all the possible comforts.
Thoroughly enjoyed the location, the room and the spectacular views. The pool was wonderfully heated and in a great location. Ian, our host was so generous, helpful and provided advice and tips on local tourist activities.
Nice sandy pool for little kids. Pool with restaurant that was tasty And rooms with yoga, exercise equipment.
Great views. Friendly neighbors. Lots of furniture in LR and on deck. Saw whales from the deck. Perfect.
