If you want bottomless Margaritas for $14 there's a great Mexican restaurant inside of the Silverton which is 3 minutes walking away. Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas - Fremont Street, Las Vegas
Located on the historic Fremont Street, this adults only Las Vegas hotel features a casino and on-site dining options. Free parking and complimentary WiFi are available at the hotel. Clean, comfortable, wonderful staff. Fantastic value. Food was good and wait staff attentive and pleasant. Fremont street entertainmant and activities close. Also a short walk to Both the express bus and the local bus. The El Cort6 casino has everything. A nice selection of Gaming machines plus frienly dealers. Parking was free at El Cortez but it made much more sense to walk to the bus stop and go from casino to casino on the strip by bus. That saved a lot of time and money. Many casinos charge for parking. Plus that, finding the parking and finding your way back to the parking at the other casinos was time consuming as well as expressive. City busses were fast, clean and safe. 24 hour bus pass for young folks is 8 dollars, for us it was 4. We will definitely stay at the El Cortez on our next visit to Las Vegas.

We are not gamblers, but the place offers a lot of attractions, for families, couples or singles alike. This was our third visit after 20 years and the place has developed immensely.....also, we took a tour to Hoover Dam, with MAX TOURS, was very informative and professional. Dinner was at Outback, Dennys, and Imperial Buffet at China town. All pretty good! We missed The big buffett at The Palm --if you like seafood---make a reservation well in advance.
Probably my last time going. Things have changed so much, and not for the better. Prices for everything were stupid high....like almost $18 for two salty pretzels at the Excalibur. The beggars, the con artists are everywhere in your face, and the street performers are a constant threat and won't take no for an answer. Drug usage everywhere and not just marijuana. The homeless sleeping & peeing in the streets, jumping in your face yelling at you, threating you...for just walking by them. Then if you happen to roam outside the main area of Vegas, you better be carrying a gun with you. Parking garages are really fun at night. This place is turning into a real s-hole. Don't stay at the Four Queens at all costs.....this place has all the above under one roof (oh...they fake their ratings to look better....the single names and short answers with no text are the new norm to offset crappy reviews for companies, look at the poor reviews, they're normally right on). Fremont Street is okay...well no, it's crap also with everyone begging for money, homeless crackheads everywhere and the performers all blasting their own version of music and con games. Don't wander off of it or you may become a statistic. The Mob Museum was great and so was the Speak Easy in the basement. Zack Bagan's Haunted Museum was entertaining as well as the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur.
I understand it a gambling town and that it’s a tourist attraction but why in gods name does Las Vegas have to charge everyone so much money to eat. At some point it feels they’re taking advantage of people. Would I recommend Vegas no not any longer in the 1990s yes but not now
We experienced poor customer service at the front desk. Six ladies were at the front desk with only one station open while a whole line of guests waited. I was waiting without moving for 45 minutes and there were 2 ladies in front of me who waited even longer. I wanted to change our room to a better smelling room. We requested non-smoking and were placed in a funky smoky smelling room. Finally a rep from the kiosks came over and helped me within 5 minutes. Our new room had been assigned long ago but I received no phone call as promised. On the morning we checked out, the water was shut off. The toilet didn't flush and we washed and brushed our teeth with the last of our bottled water. Based on these situations, I will never stay at PH again. We have stayed there a few times in the past with no problems but this time was intolerable overall. As for Las Vegas, the heat is stifling (105 plus degrees every day) and the food/entertainment/amenities are vastly overpriced. Hopefully this is my last trip to Las Vegas.
every single thing you do cost money, i spent several thousand dollars at casino and i still had to pay for late check out there was no free shuttle bus to airport, all hotels are the same the food was crazy expensive 23.00 dollars for a hamburger and small coke at the strat my room was filthy
The many shows, entertainment, and various sites and displays at hotel make it worth the trip. The one issue is the occasional smell of strong marijuana and questionable people with substance abuse and mental health issues.
My wife and I decided on the Downtown Grand Hotel from the great reviews that we read on trip advisor. The Hotel was EXCEPTIONALLY clean. The Staff was more than courteous and helpful. The most important thing to me, the staff was very well mannered. The price of the rooms was excellent. The Freedom Beat restaurant had great tasty food.To be honest, I do not have anything but positive things to say about this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vegas. It is definitely the best kept secret in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas
Staff is very helpful and courteous. Rooms are bigger/cleaner than most. Check-in took 2 and a half mins. Love this hotel, we ate at the garden buffet for breakfast everything was delicious except for scrambled eggs (most disgusting). Parking was easy with the parking garage. Love that they have events with horses on the property. This is our second visit to Las Vegas and we have enjoyed our stay both times at this hotel. They are on the Vegas strip just farther south on the strip. Definitely recommend.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas
Loved my room! Quiet, looked like it was newly remodeled with a great view of Downtown Las Vegas and the Strat Tower. Didn't have to leave my hotel room to see a beautiful fireworks show at the Strat and all over Vegas . Take advantage of the Monorail while its still available, ESPECIALLY here. $5 one way can get you to the MGM Grand in ten minutes. The food places were excellent with some staying open late in case you enjoy the nightlife . Everyone there was super friendly. Very easy checkout.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas
The best place to stay in Las Vegas. No casino, good infrastructure and pools, wonderful spacious apartments, amazing view - it was just a perfect stay! They also have a great place for breakfast and lunch in Tower 2 and a little shop and Starbucks in Tower 1 - just everything that you may need. By the way, the hotel gym is also top class - modern equipment, fresh towels, headphones, water and apples - it's a pity I didn't have time to visit it, but I definitely will if I ever come back.
I love downtown Las Vegas is why I booked with Golden Gate. However, this hotel was poorly staff and they don't clean their rooms. A lot of garbage in front doors and a horrible smell. I asked for a mini fridge because of medication and it was brought up to my room but no one bother to clean up. Why did i paid resorts fee??? I feel like I deserve my money back
Great value at this hotel. It’s a 10-15min walk to the main strip. The staff here is very nice, the restaurant food is cheap and good, the beer is THE best value in Vegas...period. $2.50 USD per beer brewed in house. Even my german friends who were visiting commented how good it was. I would def stay here next time I’m back in Vegas.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas
The location is great! Close to a lot of beautiful spots on the strip and everything is clean as opposed to a hotel like Circus Circus which is just cheap and dingy. This is a great hotel for a family and the novelty is awesome. Unfortunately with covid still a threat we couldn’t see the shows or joust but next time for sure!
This hotel is near Fremont Street which worked well for us. We were able to walk to restaurants in Downtown Las Vegas and not just eat at the hotel restaurants. The room was adequate with basic things like decent towels, sheets, and small fridge. Room was pretty spacious but bathroom is small. Parking was convenient.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas
Excellent hotel when staying with kids in Vegas. Our family particularly enjoyed use of the swimming pool slides and visiting the circus acts. We also really enjoyed the indooer theme park. Not as glitzy as other hotels on the strip but all in all I would highly recommend for young families visiting Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas
The apartment was massive, beds were ultra comfortable and view was amazing. The hotel has access to loads of restaurants and Starbucks inside. Located pretty much right on the strip just a short walk to the mgm and other casinos/hotels and short drive fremont street/downtown.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas
The hotel is located right on the strip, close to many other landmark hotels in Las Vegas. The room was large and clean, with a decent view—we didn't pay for rooms on the strip side, so it's okay. Probably we should have stayed more at this hotel during our trip.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas
Localization, walking distance to most of the nice cassinos, nice convenience store in the hotel, very clean, nice place for family, nice kitchen, best place to stay in Las Vegas for gambling or family business! Will be back again for sure!!!!
Cheap option to stay in LV downtown. Fremont is just around the corner and parking (when being hotel guest) is for free. I did not expect a high end LV hotel and so i was also not disappointed. i got what I paid for :-)
Las Vegas
This hotel is complete resorts, all families who prefer to be away from strip it's the best and best place like small Silverton town but in las vegas
Las Vegas
No Resort fees!!!!! Not on the Strip but Downtown location, lots of casinos and restaurants right outside the hotel.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas
Excellent hotel, beautiful room, free upgrade, nice pool area, great location on the strip, good and cheap parking
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas
One of the best hotels in Las Vegas
Las Vegas
Such a beautiful resort that is super close to everything. Only a short drive to the Las Vegas Boulevard / Strip where all the magic happens. This would definitely be the place where we will stay again when we visit Vegas.
Las Vegas
There is nothing to dislike at the D. The location is perfect right on Fremount St. The staff are so heplful and the night manager well he is a god send.. The place is very clean and has a new feel everytime i go there.
The staff is super friendly and helpful they all seem to enjoy what they do even during the stressful times
