My room was clean and tidy on arrival and the team were accommodating and helpful when I explained that I needed to reduce my stay from 2x nights to just 1x. I was there on a Friday so got to enjoy some live music on the ‘Back Porch’ and everyone that I spoke to and interacted were very friendly.

The place was so cute. I loved the books used as decorations. We could see the river and the park area from our room. It was a wonderful and peaceful stay.

I loved the fact that it is "away from civilization", but still have good conveniences. The owners are very nice and accommodating, and make sure that you are felt welcome. If you're looking to spend some time away from the hustle of daily life, this is a great place to do so.

Large space. Much better inside than it appeared from the outside. Liked the pond and of course the "lookout" atop the hill with the view. Loved the privacy. So nice to have washer and dryer as well.

Quaint little town near the beautiful Frio river.

Quaint little town near the beautiful Frio river. Lots of little shops and places to eat considering how small it is. We were definitely pleasantly surprised by how pretty it was there. Not too far from Happy Hollow where you can swim or tube for the day.

I stayed at the Historic Leakey Inn, which was a cool place...

I stayed at the Historic Leakey Inn, which was a cool place with individual cabins. I had pizza at Vinny's Italian Restaurant. It was fantastic pizza. Ate breakfast the next morning at Mill Creek Cafe. The ladies there were great and the food was great. Prices were reasonable at both restaurants. If you are riding the 3 Twisted Sisters, Leakey is a great place to stay. I will return many more times.

Smart city planning- sidewalks have been installed for ease...

Smart city planning- sidewalks have been installed for ease of exploring the town and walking to places. Only chain store is Family Dollar and a couple gas stations. Lots of local mom and pop establishments which is nice. Live music at the Historic Leakey Inn was nice- also a great place to stay. Leakey BBQ was yummy and Catahoula woodworker and artisan ship was fun to look through.

The Leakey Inn has a comfortable atmosphere.

The Leakey Inn has a comfortable atmosphere. The owners are nice and were so helpful. They have an awesome little bar and grill with live music, so there's no need to eat anywhere else. You can also grill on their pits. The rooms were comfortable with a home feel. They also have a pet dog, Max, who is such a sweetheart. Would definitely go back, close location to the Frio River, which we loved!
