Marblehead has a very interesting history.
Marblehead has a very interesting history. Many of the homes are from the 1700's with many built for specific sea captains and fishermen. The town is very walkable with a short walk to a rocky beach. There are many small local shops and eateries. Just a great place to visit.
Salem is a short drive from Marblehead, as well as Rockport. Both areas have much to offer including restaurants and great art galleries and shops.

Very much met the expectation of a small coastal New England...
Very much met the expectation of a small coastal New England town.
Found walking to most places the easiet l, streets are narrow and parking scarce. We went to different restaurants while there, The Landing was the better of the two.
Beaches pretty typical for area a lot of rock and would suggest watershoes

Loved the location and especially the Three Cods Tabern only...
Loved the location and especially the Three Cods Tabern only steps away. The best clam chowder ever! Location was close to all we wanted to visit, Salem and Danbury and the houses were beautiful!! Also close to other eateries and markets. Delightful area!

There was nothing to like. No breakfast was available and it meant a 20/25 mins walk into town for any food. As we had no access to a car this was the only option. Tea and coffee were available at reception but not in our room. The best part was the Receptionist booked us a taxi so we could leave the hotel the following morning and we most definitely will not ever return.

Beautiful old building and rooms. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower excellent. It was cozy but well appointed. Breakfast buffet also good. The weather for our stay was grey and rainy until the morning we departed and then I saw the real Marblehead I’d read about!

The location in Marblehead was perfect. We could walk to everything. The apartment was just like the pictures and we enjoyed it very much. Our host was friendly and responsive to queries. We would definitely stay here again.
